For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things [pertaining] to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: Heb. 5:1
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. Heb. 8:3
It appears that from these verses, Jesus, as our High Preist "...offers both gifts and sacrifices for sins..."
The 'sacrifice for sins' is covered pretty well, but what about the 'gifts'? what gifts are being offered to God the Father by Jesus
(our High Priest), on our behalf?
I cannot think of anything besides the "sacrifice of
praise" (Heb. 13:15), but it still makes we wonder....are there any other gifts?
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise
to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips
giving thanks to his name. Heb. 13:15
What Gifts?
