What is a "Traditionalist" Baptist...

    This is what I meant when I said I was ashamed of myself for holding the "traditionalist" position. So many of the points you brought up are subtle/not so subtle accusations against God. I am ashamed that I accused God, while I imagined I was honoring Him. Thank God for his amazing grace in my ignorance.

    Squire, as the OP, I will concur with your observation.
    I do appreciate the defining of the term, however, as I grew up with that theological teaching. I just didn't know it was coined "traditionalist."

    I think the problem with this thread is calling themselves traditional baptists as if their viewpoint is actually the traditional viewpoint. It's a misnomer.

    To some extent, it might be better to refer to the position as a Traditional Viewpoint.
