WOW! I guess I'm lucky to be paying $2.39 at Wally World for 2%. I guess it pays to live just across the border from the land of cheese (Wisconsin).

$1.98 per gallon in half-gallon bags at the local Kwik Trip.

Farm fresh milk is always best just keep Bessie away from the dandilions and loco weed. -
I paid $2.50 for a gallon of 2% this morning at the local Kroger.
I grew up on a farm and hated the taste of "fresh" milk. I did the churning to make butter and buttermilk, but never got used to the taste. I'm not crazy about milk, but can drink the pasturized kind. Give me a glass of cold, low fat buttermilk anytime, especially with some hot cornbread to put in it. yum, yum. -
Yipes.
I went to the store last night, and milk had gone up to $3.59 a gallon! -
$3.31 for 4 litres of 2%. That works out to about US$2.70 per gallon.

Early morning run to Harps for 2% now $3.16
No more cow tipping from me. -
I'd love to transition from the beef cow business to the milk cow business, but the mass of state and federal regulations makes the startup costs out of reach. But seeing the years of losses dairy farmers have had to accept, I can't help but feel grateful that some of them are (hopefully) making it back now. On the other hand, we only get 12 cents for every dollar spent retail.
Around $2.50/gallon here. -
$2.49 for 1 gal. whole milk at Wally World, their "Great Value" brand. Broughton brand was $3.29 a gallon there. I almost betcha the GV & Broughton came from the same cow.
I live in Lawrence Co. Ohio, the southernmost county in the stare, bordering WV and KY, the Ohio River being the dividing line.
