12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

 

“For all the promises of God in him [Jesus] are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)

 

That is even worsethen, as they are saying that they reject God as the boss, and see themselves in that role!

Were it those who were born by the will of flesh? No

Correct. God first works then man reacts. They have man doing his part first and then God doing His. They conjure up faith and repentance, and then God accepts their gracious gift of works.
