How have you been feeling so far? Have you ever felt at times, like you may have contracted the virus yourself?

There were only a couple hundred confirmed cases in my county at the time they started shutting down the nursing homes and I quit shortly after because of not wanting to catch it or spread it, so even though in actuality there were probably more cases around there was not no much chance of getting it then. But to be honest, I have a pulmonary disorder that I’ve been dealing with for a few years. I am very good at hiding it and working around it but my O2 level is typically in the mid to upper 80s when I get up in the morning and although I do weight resistant workouts I typically have to wait unusually long for my O2 level to come up between sets or exercises and have to do deep breathing routines at times. There are also good days and bad days usually depending of if I'm congested but my O2 level is typically no better than 93 at rest during the day. I’ve never been to the doctor about it and don’t look like I would have problems breathing but I know enough to know something is wrong and I struggle at times and have to limit activities.

My reality is I don’t see myself beating a serious respiratory disease or going to the hospital while I'm still conscience and able to fight because I don't want to die alone on a ventilator …so, even though I love God I’m doing whatever I can to avoid catching this virus because I’m not ready to meet Him yet and I think there are some people that would like me around a little longer. I do have a pretty good immune system and an oxygen concentrator sitting in an unopened box which I feel would increase my odds or help someone else should the need arise. That said, I take the threat personally but I hate it more because of its potential to kill our beloved elderly.

Only one person that I know personally has died from COVID, the wife of a friend I grew up with, her father suddenly got sick and died. Today, she said this today, kind of makes it more real:

There is a distinct difference between Memorial day and Veterans day and while my Dad served four tours in Vietnam, he made it home.

So Memorial day was always a day that I called or visited my Dad. I considered myself lucky that he made it home. I became very familiar with his stories of heroism, the names of soldiers whose lives he saved and even a few names of friends who didn't make it home.

My Dad was a fighter. He was a strong man who wasn't strong enough to fight COVID-19.
I am sad and often worried and frustrated with this urgency to "get back to normal".

My Dad was in good health other than early onset dementia. I realize that 71 is considered elderly, but he still had a lot of life in him.

Please take care of yourself. Be safe. Practice social distancing and know for those who have lost loved ones to this hostile virus...it is not fake or political.

I dont have the Chinese Wuhan virus, I dont know anyone who has, I dont wear a mask and I never stopped touching my face. I have always washed my hands regularly, and I respect others who are paniced over this as they do all these unnecessary things.

I know a few people who had COVID-19. 4 have recovered, one is still critical.

I own a business in Honolulu and have contracts with 3 major hospitals. I personally worked on 3 of them for the last 16 weeks. What would you like to know?

My doctor and I think I already had a run in with COVID19, just havn't done the antibody tests yet. Back in December we thought I had bronchitis. Well, with medication the bronchitis will have me down for a few days, and that's it. Even with meds, which neither of us though were working, it had me down for 4-5 weeks. And the recovery is worse than the virus. Used to walk to the burger shack for lunch, only 4 blocks away. Right now I can't even walk 1/2 block without severe pain.
