I know we all like to preach and I am not including that. I am talking about dinners, movie nights, church trips and so forth.

As a youth leader, I've always enjoyed taking the kids to Super Summer. It's an event sponsored and led by the Missouri Baptist Association and is held in Hannibal, Missouri and Hannibal Lagrange college. The youth leaders and the youth are ministered to in more ways than one and it's always been a blessing to us and our kids. Some years our kids benefit more than in other years but we've never felt it has ever been a complete waste of time. Fond memories and feelings even thinking about it in passing.

That sounds really cool. How many did you have in your youth group? Did you have anyone helping you or did you have to do everything?

    Preparing and preaching sermons.
I told the church they paid me to do administration and counseling. I preached for free.

Funerals. I stopped counting when I did the 300th. Always an opportunity to share the Gospel whether the person was eligible to be the fifteenth Apostle or the spawn of Satan.

Do you get more ppl coming to church as a result of your funeral ministry?

Teach me not to read the entire question: Like Padre, funerals were always an opportunity to reach people who would never be in church at any other time. A close 2nd was weddings because couples had to go through 6 weeks of pre-marital counseling and I enjoyed helping them establish a godly home.
