What would the world be like without me?

The question is :"What would this place be without Sal."

I can answer that: it would be all gooshy with love overflowing form peoples' hearts and honey dripping from their lips as they all came together for one big group hug!:tongue3:

And on top of that, just think of all that battlefield military experience and deep, insightful theology we would be missing.

It is always such a delight to converse with you! You always offer so much for the inquiring minds.

I cannot discuss my military experience, it is confidential. Sorry, but if you were there when I was, you'd been shot for displaying a fake distress call.

What would the world be like without any of us?

Not a drop in the bucket difference!

Depends on what you dropped in the bucket.
Don't overly flatter yourself, Salamander.

In the grand scheme of things, I've gotta' go with Jim1999 on this one.

As God can raise up stones to children of Abraham, I'm pretty sure He would manage to find a way to somehow muddle along without any of us, here. He managed untold eons from eternity to do without any of us, before these last few years. I'm pretty sure nothing has changed with Him, in these last 80-odd years or so.

Mr. Potter would own all of a corrupt and evil Bedford Falls, now renamed Potterville. The building and loan would be gone, and George's brother would be dead.

You inadvertatntly flatter yourself by making this assumption as if I had.

Um, I had never thought of God having any kind of "scheme" to be considered "grand". I had always thought the devil was the initiator of all schemes.

BTW, I didn't ask what God would be like without me, he'd still be God without any or all of us.

Not only hasn't God changed in 80 years, but he has never ever changed.

I beg to differ in that if it weren't for me my wife and children would be most affected. But since it was another BB member suggesting BB might be better off without me here, I thought it might be fun to present this topic in a fashion for others to concur or disagree.

Hey, now here is an idea. Before you make yourself depart, turn into a piece of wood, so we can use you as a hatrack.
Maybe in your case it might be better to transform into a toilet handle so we could flush...........you.:tongue3:

We have had numerous members come and go, even some megaposters. We have had all kinds of posters come and go.

When they go the departure is barely noticeable after a few days. Such it would be if any of us left.

That is very flippant to say the least. Some have left and previously made quite an impression upon my life. I truly miss them.

Other have made quite a mark on my life and I wish they never had!

Sometimes the mark left by others is the exact one we deserve.
