What is wrong with the comparisons. I am not comparing them to Obama, but it may turn out that way, who knows. I am trying to find out before I cast my lot.

    Thank you for your honesty...

If he meant that by being the president, he can help build God's kingdom... He is wrong by combining the office of president with a theocracy.. Can you imagine what would happen if GW would have said that if he was elected president, he would help build God's kingdom...

And beside that, Obama has a distorted view of what the kingdom will look like... It is not a social/liberal kingdom.. .Christ will rule with a rod of iron...
And no matter how many social programs we start, it will not usher in God's kingdom...

Of course, I feel that by him using the word "create" he is talking about something more evil than at first glance... remember, he is the one that says words mean a lot...

He chose the word "create", I feel, because he is starting to believe he is the savior of our nation.. remember his other phrase... "heal the nation... repair the world"... No MAN can do this... only the anointed one.... Christ...

He has also told Jew that his name, Barack is related to the Hebrew word meaning "blessed" If someone told you their name was blessed, what would you think about him?

I think he is taking this praise and adoration (worship in some cases) to an unhealthy level, and I think he actually believes what he is saying... that HE will be the one to heal the nation.... and repair the world....

BTW, why would the president of the US make a statement about repairing the world unless he thinks that one day he will have enough influence over other nations that he can make a difference....

"We are the ones we have been waiting for"... hmmmm... The Bible instructs us to be waiting on Jesus.. not ourselves, and not a politician that calls himself 'blessed"...

He is setting himself up for a fall. There is no way, humanly, he can fulfill all that he has said he can.. it would take someone supernatural to do all he is saying he can do.

I am afraid that it will be too late for many who vote for him... that one day they will realize that they have been duped... One day they will wake up and realize that they have believed a lie, and were damned...

I think we've done all that we can in this war. It is difficult to backtrack and say we should've never done it, because most of America supported it when it started.

That being said, I have no idea on how to get out. I'm not a military expert. I do think we should get a plan together, though. My brother was there for a time, and his insight has convinced me that there is no more we can do there. That nation will depend on the people there to step up and lead it...just as our nation once had a time where people were called to step up and lead.

I don't question Bush's motives....but would like to think things could've been handled better. I think they could have. Hard to say in hindsight. It's time to move on from Iraq.

Although I don't know if I'm the guy to be asking about the war.

You are indirectly whether you will admit it or not. It doesn't matter can see for themselves how you have belittled, thrown mud at, and now are at the very least closing comparing him to the devil.

Here's something funny. Go back and re-read your posts. If there is no comparison, that makes these two post absolutely irrelevant, and making no sense in the context of the discussion.

Why the heck bring it up if you aren't comparing? You just took all relevance out of your comments!

You are making false statements, called lies. I never once compared him to the devil, but questioned if you would vote for the devil himself. I still wonder about that one.

I have questioned to find answers, its just you don't want no one talking about your Obama, so you make accusations. You do not have answers, so you accuse the one who questions. That is not too bright, you need to show why we should vote for Obama, instead of calling names because we ask questions about him.

I brought it up to show it was a reasonable thing to do, to question about someone to find out who he is.

Comparing Obama to the devil huh? Nice work..

I have no problem with people getting to know the candiates before they vote. What I do have a problem with is people jumping to conclusions and thinking the world will end with the result of one election. Them thinking that voting one man into office will be the end of the USofA as we know it.

I just see things on a bigger picture I suppose.. I trust and have faith in my God. He IS in control.

I don't know.. I won't there. I would suppose there were people on both sides of the fence. People like yourself in that time that were thinking their world had come to an end.. Now look what really happened... The world was saved in that instant, not lost. I am sure there were people beating their drums loudly just like you're doing against Obama. Things are not always as they seem, but there is one constient thing.. God is in control.

Yes.. what I am not fond of is the huge mistakes we made in this war. Thinking it would be easy... not planning it out.... Not getting out after the war was won. It's the garage that goes with the good that I don't like. The war was won as soon as we toppled Saddam.

Now, will you answer my questions with a direct answer?

Yea, but according to you, Saddam was one of God's men.

Why are you questioning this, again, according to you this is one of God's men and we are supposed to pray for him to be able to carry out these things. So you would question the ways of God? You are speaking both ways.

    That is like saying:

Yeah, according to you it was a good thing that we took out Saddam, because God really lost control when that guy became a leader.

....as if God wasn't in control of that??

By the way, I think it is better that he is not in control; according to my perspective here on earth. God had a reason for him being Pres. of Iraq...it won't be on my mind in heaven, though.

    You're welcome! :)

Of course he is promising more than he can deliver. Isn't that the American way? Look at what Clinton offered us... then Bush? They all over promise. Until we stand up and say enough, it will always be that way.

As far him taking this country to a place we don't want to go, well, if this is true, I am sure we have enough people to stand up, grab a side arm and defend our country again. We talked about that when Bush signed into law something along the lines of a President can override congress and all people if the country was under attack or something similar. I don't remember what that bill was called, but what I do remember is people on BOTH sides on this board were willing to pick up a gun and take their country back if Bush even remotely tried to stay in office after his term.

People have a funny way of pulling together in times of distress.. I believe Bush was a bad president. We lived through it though... I can only hope the next one will be better, if not... I am sure we will live through it.

BTW, given the choices now... how does Ron Paul look to you?

Are you saying we should stand up against a man sent of God and defy him?

You're right. That was cold. I apologize. It sounded funnier than it was. Definitely not meant to be personal....just a little joke in the middle of the tussle!

    Slick...

Everyone knows that a vote for a third party candidate in the fall will ultimately be a vote for the democrats, because it will split the vote with McCain...

Democrats would love for a third party person to pull votes from McCain...
That would ensure a Democratic victory...

I applaud your tenacity, and tactics...
