I believe the tribulation will reach a peak and then Christ will return. It will be at the end of the tribulation only because of His return. Not all Christians will die but the slaughter will pale the whore of Babylons previous attempts.
I think the argument for the end times being focused on Israel are good but I believe it will be world wide persecution.

For the pre-trib side I quote the Chicago
Political motto:
Vote early, vote often! -
I am amill so....

Here are some timelines for the major eschatological
theories expounded today:
---------------------------------------------
Pretrib pre-mill outline of time forward:
0. church age continues -- you are here
1. rapture/resurrection
2. Tribulation time
3. Second Advent of Jesus event
4. literal MK=millinnial kingdom
5. new heaven & new earth
Post-trib pre-mill outline of time forward:
0. church age continues -- you are here
2. Tribulation time
3. Second Advent of Jesus event
(same 12-hour day as: 1. rapture/resurrection
4. literal MK=millinnial kingdom
5. new heaven & new earth
Post-trib a-mill outline of time forward:
0. church age continues -- you are here
(same as 2. Tribulation time)
3. Second Advent of Jesus event
(same 12-hour day as: 1. rapture/resurrection
4. spiritual MK=millinnial kingdom, in heaven
5. spiritual new heaven & new earth
Done-did preterist a-mill outline of time forward:
0. church age continues -- you are here
1. rapture/resurrection -- already happened
2. Tribulation time -- you are here
3. Second Advent of Jesus event -- already happened
4. spiritual MK=millinnial kingdom -- already happened
5. new heaven & new earth -- you are here

Needless to say, this is correct :)

So far in the poll:
the MAJORITY didn't BLINK. :godisgood: -
Who are the post tribs on this forum?
-
I voted for Mid-trib. Not because I believe it, for I definitely don't believe that, but just because I wanted to see all the positions get at least one vote.
My posts have clearly defined and do clearly define where I stand on issues, whether or not I am correct. However, if one has not bothered to read them, what difference does it make as to how I vote in some poll?
Actually, I'm not  at all, right or wrong.

Pre-trib all the way!
-
Ed gets it right:
-
You'll have to ask 'tother Ed about himself.
And why not "skew the vote"?
I was not aware that Biblical Theology was subject to any votes from you or me!

My bad! Got my Ed's confused! I fixed it.

the rapture will pre-date the tribulation by 40 years....

As best I can tell, there is no biblical justification for the tribulation happening immediately after the rapture.
'
there is no evidence that those left behind will have a second chance.
there is evidence that there will be believers during the tribulation.
so, i think that a generation will die off, just like the generation of israelites that died in the wilderness.
then all the things we kinow about the tribulation will happen... -

Dan 9:26-27 (KJV1611 Edition):
And after threescore and two weekes,
shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himselfe,
and the people of the Prince that shall come,
shall destroy the citie, and the Sanctuarie,
and the ende thereof shall be with a flood,
and vnto the ende of the warre desolations are determined.
27 And hee shall confirme the couenant with
many for one weeke: and in the midst of the weeke
he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
and for the ouerspreading of abominations
hee shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation,
& that determined, shalbe powred vpon the desolate.
The first 'hee' in Daniel 9:27 refers to
'the prince that shall come' NOT to Prince Messiah
(Messiah Jesus) nor does th esecond 'he'.
four parts:
1. the opening of the week
2. the first half of the week
3. the 'midst of the weeke'
4. the second half of the week
5. the end of the week
Personally i think it is inappropriate to
think part 1: the opening of the week,
is 40 years long. Parts 2 to 5 only take
seven years. -

I'm posttrib.
Postrib rapture is very clear teaching in Matthew 24:29-31 that Christ it will be immediately AFTER the tribulation. Christ doesn't saying he shall come before tribulation.
Church already face tribulations and persecutions since early Church to today. So, pretribulationism doctrine is obivously fallacy. I rather follow Christ's teaching than what men saying according Colossians 2:8.
In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen! -

Historical Premillinnism (there will be a
physical Millinnial Messanic Kingdom on
a physical earth) prevailed from 33AD
(some say 30AD) until about 325AD.
There were ten extreame persecutions
of Christians in that period - they didn't worry
about if the Rapture happened before the
Tribulation or if the Rapture after the Tribulation
-- they were in intense Tribulation.
Their main concern evidently was that they
might die an honorable martyr's death.
From 325AD until 1500AD the church
that took over the Roman Empire was
Post-millinnial or just plain
'The-Church-is-the-Millinnium' in viewpoint.
Even 1500AD-1800AD in the Protestant
Reformation, the argument was 'which is the
church' - not "When will the Rapture happen
in relation to the Tribulation". Premillinnial
Second Coming of Jesus was reintroduced
among the Protestant Christians.
I think there will be a pretribulation rapture
and a post-tribulation rapture.
There are some who are 'post-tribulation
rapturists only'.
Colossians 2:8 (KJV1611 Edition):
Beware lest any man spoile you through Philosophie
and vaine deceit, after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ:
Amen, Brother Paul - you are so RIGHT ON!
But too often this verse is used:
My view is of Christ - your view is of the Devil.
I never use anything but God's Holy Written Word,
even the Words of Jesus, to show my eschatological
viewpoint: pretribulation Rapture, premillinnial Second
Coming, most is even yet in the futurist. Well, I do
study history books and the newspaper, prophecies in
the Bible help one understand those things better.
