I'm sorry. I have never considered the term "right-winger" to be pejorative. Someone who is on the extreme right is a "right-winger."
If you find this to be offensive, remember that I mean it as someone who is a strict conservative, in their political viewpoint. Someone who opposes any form of Socialism.

THanks for your clarification.
Sorry for the accusation.

Hey, if repeating that falsehood helps conservatives to feel better, Dragoon68, then I don't see any harm in them doing so. It makes them look quite silly but considering the licking that conservatives have taken in the past two elections I can understand why.
It seems like you are saying that just about any goverment spending is, by your definition, pork.
You are entitled to think that way but most people don't.

The only ones who want this to go thru are the crybabyboomers, but they pretty much have been a collective scourge on our nation, since they first discovered LSD.

You sound like a cross between Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage.
The sad thing is that there are actually morons who believe this to be true.

It's a good stimulus bill and it needs to be passed.
Thank God there is not enough right-wingers to stop it.
In the end, it will pass, thanks especially to the three republican Senators who have agreed to vote in favor of this needed package.

AGAIN I ask what is good about this spending bill?

I understand that is your belief or even hope. The way you said it was a good bill I thought you knew some specific things about it that were good.
I hope that whatever comes out of Washington helps America back on her feet, but I honestly do not see much in this bill that will do that.
I do not care whose name or party is attached to the bill as long as folks in Washington are trying to help everyday folks and not fund their pet projects.

Fortunately, funding pet projects is little to nothing of what is done in this bill.

After listening to the President's cramming of the "stimulus" down our throats the other night on TV, and his inability to tell the truth about the "package" stating that it wasn't full of pork, fully knowing that it was one of the most pork filled packages in history , with most of the democrats specially chosen things to support their own districts inserted, along with a change in medicine slipped in that would allow for the socialization of it, making us more of a socialist state than any past administration, as it has taken away our ability and RIGHT to speak our minds as citizens , instead, following the principals of another democratic socialist, Mr. Tom Daschle from his book last year in his hopes of becoming the HHS secretary to an Obama administration, I am MAD and I am not going to sit idly by and listen to the lies of these people.
I'm going to write the congressmen of IL, as well as the Senators to voice my opinion while it is still legal to do so .
TAKE BACK OUR GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE.
Mr. Obama has not kept his promise to defend the Constitution of the United States . He has taken over the Census for 2010 (according to published news reports), a duty that belongs to another branch of the United States Government, and made it his own to further the socialists interests, eroding even more the Constitutional rights of Americans.
WAKE UP PEOPLE....if it's not already too late!

You say it's the most pork ridden bill in history and yet can give no examples of pork.
Do you understand that we are really in an economic crisis perhaps equal to the Great Depression?
To do nothing is to give in to the crisis.
What would you propose?

The falsehood that conservatives are spreading about their being so much pork in this bill was totally discredited on page 3 when I debunked the list in a link provided by rbell.

Let the markets correct themselves, like the non-partisan C.B.O. suggests. And no, I don't understand that this is equal to the depression, but could soon be, if the crybabyboomers don't stop demanding to be taken care of.

I don't consider our electricity grid to be pork. (The "grid" wasn't the big problem, here in KY for the last two weeks and counting, but rather the individual 'legs' off the smaller lines, and 'sub-stations,' FTR.)
I don't consider moving toward energy independence by reducing the consumption of oil to be pork.
I don't consider assisting in developing carbon capture technology to be pork. (OINK!! on this one.)

I don't necessarily consider all these to be "pork" either, but don't we already have most of them going on, in fairly significant ways, except for the so-called 'politically correct' "carbon capture technology" in our budgets and the tax code?
Who is going to pay for this added $1.5+ trillion, which occurs with the couple or four of the blank check signings in both the Bush and Obama Administrations by their Sec'y of the Treasury?
I suggest what we are doing is asking 'government' to cure the problems to many degrees created by 'government' - you know kinda' along the lines of Mafia 'protection.'
