M -- "weird" is a good description of KJVOs. Also, I have yet to hear from them about the rest of the world that uses other language translations. Should the rest of the world learn English so they can read the "real" Scripture - the KJV?

Friendof: Apart from the first sentence, BINGO!!!

Ed -- I mean no disrespect here. The people are not necessarily "weird." But their position is -- no scriptural basis whatsoever.

All those mentioned + ISV,RSV,Geneva,NRSV,CEV,GNT,
GW,Phillips NT, and several others. -
I hated to just pick one. I use: ESV,NASB,NKJV, HCSB, and the NLT.

Wow! Great question, there is certainly a lot of energy here!
Personally, I am a KJV type of guy, maybe because I got saved while "under it's influence" or perhaps because it takes a little more effort for me to "get" the message and I have to read, read and read it again? Then one day, a little while ago, as I was pondering the very same question, the thought occurred to me, that more people have been saved as a reult of preaching from the KJV than ANY OTHER VERSION ever(!) so hey, we're good with KJV.
Here's an after thought... have you ever considered the amount of time, money and effort that went into the translation back then? No wonder the Lord has blessed this version of the bible like He has, with so many conversions to the Christian faith. -
I voted NKJV, but I also use the KJV, ESV, and NASV.

Only the kjBible.

The poll only lets you select one translation. What if I use the KJV, NIV, and Nederlandse Staatenbijbel?

These days I use the ESV most of the time, although I've also consulted the HCSB. Personally, I think the latter is a little too prosaic, but I admit that's a subjective assertion. As for the KJVO debate, it seems to me that in the end it is all a matter of pride ("My Bible is better than yours, and if you were really godly you would see that!"), and it would be best if we just respected each others choices. (Yeah, that's going to happen.)

I was saved while under the influence of the KJV1673 when I was
saved in April 1952 (In a couple of months that will be 54 years ago).
Three of my 34 paper Bibles are of the King James Version (KJV)
they are all different: KJV1611 Edition, KJV1769 Edition, KJV1873 Edition.
Oh, by the way OBTW), I have an American
Bible Society of 1850 Bible that my Grandmother wore out, it is to
fragile to check and see if it is the same. Two of my 3 electronic Bibles
are of the KJV: KJV1769 with Strong's numbers and KJV1611.
I doubt that more people have been saved from the KJV than any
other Bible. The Latin Vulgate came out in the late AD400s and was
the prime Bible in the WORLD until about 1500AD and is still being
used today, among those that know the common Latin. Common Latin, being
a DEAD LANGUAGE, doesn't change. A living language like English requires
that I learn a different dielect to be able to read a KJV.
Also there are more Christians in Africa than in North America
(and has been since like 1986), some African language might be
the most PRODUCTIVE Bible of all time.
And don't forget there might be more Christian saved people in China
than 'got saved by the KJV'. Are you willing to learn a new language
to be reading the MOST PRODUCTIVE BIBLE of all time?
