I already voted so can't tell you who I'm going to vote for, sorry.
-
I have no problem letting folks know whom I vote for.
But I do have a problem with early voting (except for absentee ballot) things could change between now and Election Day. -

Just as far as the Senate race is concerned, unfortunately, Louisiana has to endure Mary Landrieu (D) for another 4 years. She leans way too far to the left for me and I do not believe that she has our best interest at heart.
But David Vitter (R - incumbent) is running for re-election against Charlie Melancon (D) who is currently a U.S. Representative from Louisiana.
I am voting for David Vitter, but I am not waving my pompoms for him nor am I pulling the lever with great glee. His personal life is quite lacking as are many in Congress, but I cannot let that overshadow his 100% pro-life voting record.
Charlie Melancon is one of the few pro-life Democrats and he did vote against the health care bill, but I do not want two Democrats speaking for me in the Capitol Building. I do not want my state to be in complete control of Democrats.
It pretty much already is. So goes New Orleans - so goes the state.
Unfortunate.

I'm in Paul's district, so I'm going to vote exactly opposite of him. That way I can cancel out his vote!

It was a joke, can't tell you who I am voting for (future) cuz I voted (past)
I voted the lesser of evils as usual. Repubs. The Gov. (Dem) was gov. for two terms and when he left office said OR was ungovernable, but now he is back looking for another run at it. Rep. Chris Dudley has all sorts of ideas that are going to cost big bucks when our state is broke plus so not sure there was a choice  Our senate cand. was supposedly well approved of by the state Rep. party however they found out one of their lessor candidates had illegals working on her ranch so who knows what lurketh in the ballots of OR. -
Governor: Bently
L Governor: Still trying to decide. I don't the either party's candidate
Senator: Shelby (again)
Attorney General: Strange (still don't really like him, lessor of two potential evils)
For the rest, my vote will be split between the Repubs (Greg Reed for State Senate!) and the Dems (Tommy Sherer for Rep!) (both good men that I know well). For most of the open seats, I don't have a candidate that I can really support and don't like any of them.
On the amendments: 1,2, and 3 NO! 4 yes. The first three are sneaky attempts by the gov to 1) allow collecting agencies to take "fees" out of moneys collected by ad valorum taxes directly out of the monies collected, 2) changes the language for passing new taxes from "3/5th majority" to "majority vote" and 3) gives the gov more fingers in the Trust Fund pie than it already has even though the trust fund really doens't have a lot of money in it to begin with.
Amendment 4 stops Jefferson County from collecting taxes and enforcing ordinances on properties/businesses/homeowners/etc that are located on the other side of the border with Blount County! Jefferson County has been doing such on the premise that they provide "services" to those they are collecting from. I hate to vote on things that affect a county I don't live in, but you let someone from Jefferson county cross the line into my county and tell me I have to do something because they said so, and there'll be a "life-chaging event" for the person who tries it. This amendment will set the precedent for the state imo and I will vote Yes on it. -
Am I one of the few who sometimes don't cast a vote for an office?
This will be two elections for governor in a row that I haven't been able to find anyone that I felt I could vote for. Running for governor in Florida this time the folks are as bad or worst than our last presidential election, what a shame.
There has been years for president I've voted 3rd. party and some years I didn't vote for anyone. Couldn't find anyone running that I would want in the office. Reagan is the last election that I voted for a Republican and have never voted for a Democrat. -

For US Senate, I am voting for Rand Paul, and for the US House, Ed Whitfield. Locally, I am voting for a mix of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, as most all are conservative.
What is disguisting on the national level, is that both parties have shown time and time again that they are inept at governing. We just threw out the liberal Republicans that almost train wrecked the entire nation. We elected more liberal Democrats who have gone in the same direction at an accelerated rate. Now, the solution is to put back into office the same clowns we just threw out. They will fail, and we will put back in the same ones we are about to throw out. It is an endless cycle of garbage.
The one positive thing I can say on the national scene is that Rand Paul is likely to be elected. In the Republican Primary last spring, the Republican establishment, including Mitch McConnell, tried every trick in the book to have his opponent elected. Rand Paul got 60% of the vote. He is a different type of Republiclan, which means he knows what the Constitution says. -
I guess I just spend to much time 10 or 15 years ago with Rand's daddy to vote for him or his daddy. I know parts of my wife's family which makes me look liberal aren't backing him. I hope if he wins he does you folks a great job. I know how it is to back a man, campaign for him and find out you made a mistake, I did that with Claude Kirk down here for governor. -
Neither candidate for governor is worthy to lead the State of Alabama in my opinion. The Dem candidate (Ron Sparks) is pro-gambling and that's enough to make him a poor choice to lead. The Republican candidate (Dr. Bentley) is owned by the Alabama Education Association (an organization whose don't care about children's education, only in protecting the teachers at all costs) who orchestrated a smear campaign using hidden money to try and destroy the reputation of his opponent. When that didn't work they (AEA) crossed over voted in the run off. Why Alabama allows cross over voting in run offs is beyond explanation. In my case I'm going to leave the Governor's box blank and for the first time I'm going to write in a name.
