Rufus, I like you enough, but I find you are the first one to discount a story due to a source you don't like.
So you'll have to do better than blacked out doctors names, Wesley Clark & Kieth Olbermann. Or else post up some of these "original battlefield reports". -

I guess I must update my Acrobat, 'cuz those links locked up my PC good. I'll try, but if I may ask, do these reports reference the three bullet holes in Tillman's forehead ? I will take your word for it, as I don't believe you are a dishonest guy.

I will agree that the Tillman fiasco is a pretty disgusting episode in our history. I'm just not ready to say he was deliberately murdered. I'm interested to see what you find.

However, the implication here is that he was "assassinated" on the orders of the Bush Administration.
A ludicrous leap of the imagination. Especially with not a single shred of evidence to support it. -
Why was Tillman a hero? Because he volunteered to get himself killed for the Bush's Saudi owners?
Why would a GI blow him away without a reason? If it was done by enemy sympathiser or by a drunk GI would not the Administration and the Army want to prosicute the bad guy?
If there was a reason, what was it?
Was his family not happier when they thought he was a hero? Why not let sleeping dogs lie? -
The fact that the three bullet holes in his head are close together does not mean it was not friendly fire. If they thought he was a Taliban guy then they might well have shot him in the head three times. As far as the range, you can't determine that from the grouping. These guys are rangers. Their marksmanship is supposed to be pretty good. -
