The only "confused" people are the KJV-onlyists who are attempting to manufacture a crisis. Pay them no mind.
Why all the versions?

"try bible study (....) with everyone coming through the door carrying a different version."
Bible study ought to be at least more interesting with different versions
As in: Oooh look what I got. Comparing 6 different translations of the same text is part of the fun.
To be honest, I heard our Sundayschool teachers complain about a lot of things (including me messing up their teaching schemes ), but never about the fact that their pupils used different versions. -
Act 18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
;) </font>[/QUOTE]Ah, I speak of
perfect = without error,
you speak of perfect = complete.
Acts 18:26 (nKJV):
So he began to speak boldly in the
synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard
him, they took him aside and explained
to him the way of God more accurately.
Acts 18:26 (NLT)
When Priscilla and Aquila heard him
preaching boldly in the synagogue,
they took him aside and explained
the way of God more accurately.

I understand that, but it seems that there must have been a lot of confusion at the tower of Babel.
If it hadn't been for man's pride that day, God would not have had to create different languages.
But because He did we now have a "problem" with translations. It's not His fault, It's our sinful pride.
You know, the same type pride that says that ONLY a few english speaking people that are spiritual enough to understand 17th century english have the "True" bible. Many translations are needed to reach as many people as possible. God is not willing that any should perish. Even the ones don't understand the KJV.
