A friend of mine sent me this email. I like it
I've often wondered why Conservatives are called the "right"
and Liberals are called the "left."
Then by chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible:
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)
“The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left.”
See??? God Knows!!
Why I Lean to the Right

Why I am a moderate
Why I am a moderate:
Deuteronomy 17:20
That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
Deuteronomy 28:14
And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Joshua 1:7
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
Joshua 23:6
Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right or to the left
Proverbs 3:16
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Proverbs 4:27
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Also:
Mark 10:14
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Children do not know their left from their right.
See, clearly the moderate position is the most Scriptural. And clearly my proof is better than yours since I list more proof texts.

Besides that, they were all quotes from the KJV!

The quoted scriptures have to do with staying on course and not veering to the right or to the left straying away from the truth. It has nothing to do with conservative, moderate, or liberal.
The principles and precepts of scripture, however, yield entirely different results. From that perspective I think being conservative is the best choice. -

For those who equate the Republicans with conservatives, the Constitution, or Godly values, you do not have a clue. -
