Why not be scared? This is high stakes we are talking about. If we are lucky enough to have Ron Paul as a president, the special interests would lose out, the ones that other candidates rely so heavily on. Those who want open borders, national ID cards, wiretapping, torture, and a North American union would also lose out. Those who abuse power and money from the government would be sent packing, the show for them, would be over.
There you already have enough reasons to see why the corporate media, and other candidates, either ignore Ron Paul, or actually take the effort to attack him. The establishment is seriously annoyed by the Ron Paul craze that is occuring across the internet, and beyond. Meet ups are occuring in many places, and huge gatherings of support for his speeches and television appearances. Paul has been able to draw support from all areas of the political spectrum. In the latest CNN debate he got excellent feedback both from viewers, and the live audience, he recieved notable applause after each answer.
Those who currently control the government and the money within have a very large interest in making sure they are safe in their practices. Or to simplify, they don’t want a man with principles and follows the constitution. Republicans do not NEED terrorism to win. Their traditional pre-9/11 views were strong, they included things such as small government, and individual liberty. Paul still advocates these things, and in their eyes, he is a spirit of the past, there to challenge their reliance on security and big government advocacy.

This Ron Paul spam-paigning is more work than I figured it'd be. :)
