Much of it does fly like a lead balloon, ya' gotta admit! (That's 'gravity' at work.)
Which is still attaining more altitude than some threads deserve!
I saw one such thread, just today, in this same BB forum. :D

You wanna' rewrite this, in order to say exactly what you are intending, maybe?
It makes no sense, as written, even if I was able to make a remark about 'gravity' on the last sentence.

I love WikiPedia. I take it for what it's worth and realize that I might not always be getting the exact truth on everything, but it is broadest encyclopedia ever.
For instance, do you think you would ever find anything about my favorite baseball team in Britanica?
I doubt it, since the Indianapolis Indians are a minor league team.
I have encountered error though myself and had to correct them.
I also agree that things about people tend to be more subjective. -

I still check Wikipedia as one of my primary points for information about lots of stuff. It is one of the best places to get your info on a movie synopsis or story synopsis without having to sit through it. :)
Wikipedia is a great resource about open source knowledge (which is the key to growth over the next century.) Obviously less significant entries like Dr. Jeremiah (his credibility and terrific ministry notwithstanding) will have some errors, but the process is set up for users (like us) to check them and edit them with better information. :) -

You can't legitimately cite Wiki as a source in an academic paper. Forutnately, in discussions on message boards we are rarely engated in academic research. For discussion purposes, a lot can be learned from Wiki. It is very valuable. Nothing can be taken a 100% absolute truth without error except for God's Word. What I cringe at is when someone cites information from Wiki in a discussion and another person haughtily chides them for how unreliable Wiki is and how it is not a legitimate academic source. This isn't academia, it's discussion among every day folks. I think Wiki is an absolutely great resource.
