If enough say no, will that have any weight on the outcome?
Was just amused at the title of the thread.
I do believe and look forward to the Lord calling me to meet Him in the air in my lifetime. -
-
I have another thought. I believe the 'dead in Christ' will be standing on the earth with us before we all are 'caught up' to meet Him in the air.
Thoughts? -
1. Well, I think it is a fitting thread for all the eschatological emissions going on these days.
2. I read somewhere on this Board where I brother believes that Christ is going to come pretty soon.
3. Personally, I really don't know; I cannot read the signs of the times, as they say.
Maranatha! -
It would certainly be nice if He did. As the decades pass, I really dont think about it as much as I did when younger.

I'm young (in my 20s), so I will hopefully have many years in my future. I cannot say for certain, obviously, but if he returned during my life, I wouldn't be surprised.

Will Christ return in your lifetime?
He didn't say. -
Mt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only Mt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be Mt 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, Mt 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mt 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mt 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Mt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Mt 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Mt 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

And what if there is a gap, a time interval between the dead rising an us going up?
probably not, but man o man! -
I do not believe it is going to be a significantly long gap, for the Bible says, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye."
Of course, that particular time period will be significant, will it not? -
1co 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
