Scarlett O. said:IF this is true, then the mother is a certified lunatic.
IF it is true that she and the other children live with her parents and now they are taking on 8 more, then her parents are enablers and need therapy themselves.
IF she received fertility treatments (which has not been verified), then her physician needs to lose his/her medical license.

I'm into not spreading the wealth, and people not taking advantage of others to live off of.Enoch said:I don't really know the details but it really is not my business. If you are into population control I suggest moving to China. They have a great law you may appreciate...the one-child policy.

StefanM said:It's not about population control. It's about a woman who used fertility treatments irresponsibly.
No one is suggesting killing children. We are suggesting that perhaps it is inappropriate (or as I would say, unconscionably stupid) to take fertility treatments in her situation.
She used fertility drugs, shes the oe who overstped her bounds, God didn't give her what she wanted so she went out and got it herself.Pastor Larry said:When did God die and leave you in charge of how many children people have? Did I miss the memo? Or are you overstepping your bounds?

What does California welfare pay for 14 kids? In Washington State a family with 14 kids can legally earn something like $80K and still qualify for low income benefits.
Marcia said:Why get upset about this one woman when the gov't supports hundreds and hundreds of "wives" and children of Mormon polygamy cults? This woman's children is just a drop in the bucket compared to them.
Women and girls are actually treated like the scum of the earth in Iraq. The order is men first, boys, livestock and other animals, then the women and girls. It is horrible! I belive the food and care of the livestock is more important than the females own food or well-being. It is very, very sad.windcatcher said:I hate to think this..... but with her Dad returning to Iraq...... is it possible she and her family is from there...... and these children may not be valued in the way we normally think? Pray for these babies and children!
The grandfather, she adds, is apparently going to head back to his native Iraq to earn money for the growing family. He told CBS News he's a former Iraqi military man.Scarlett O. said:It's not clear to me whether or not the grandfather is an Iraq-American or is just an American citizen who works over there as many do.
Does someone have a definitive answer on that?
abcgrad94 said:I think it's very possible this woman is being abused and/or exploited somehow. I really can't see the government paying for IVF for a woman who already has 6 kids, and I can't see the woman WANTING it, unless she is either crazy or is being forced against her will. The latter seems hightly probable to me if she is not married and is of Iraqi descent.
I would hate to find out she is being used by famility or "friends" only to have the media and even Christians throwing stones at her for her "irresponsibility." It would be very sad to be abused with people automatically assuming you're guilty of duping the taxpayers. Just something to think about.
Thanks for the link. The mother admitted she was "paid for it" but the story didn't elaborate WHO was paying for the IVF. Interesting.Scarlett O. said:While, I agree with you 100%.....this is not the case.
Hear the grandmother's own words (Los Angeles AP) about how all 14 of them were from IVF and how her unmarried, unstable daughter has been obsessed with having children since she was a teenager.
