Women: Are they all good?.

I'd have to take the verse "...There are none Righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10) Righteous is also a word for good or perfect so in truth no one is good. Only Christ.

Rev 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

proof there are no women in heaven!

jk!

One thing that has always amazed me is the ability of women to destroy men. I don't mean to say all women are evil of course but look at how many men are brought down by women. I had a sermon I preached a couple years ago about this, "The first man, the wisest man, the strongest man, and the man after God's own heart." Adam, Solomon, Samson, and David, all destroyed by the women in their lives.

It is of course a dangerous thing to generalize half the world population and say men or women are more spiritual or more moral. On an individual basis it is scary the evil contained in the heart of a man or woman. In my own experience I would have to say that I find women capable of more deceit then men.

I think women are on average more emotional creatures then men and this makes them better liars, able to carry hate longer, and able to strike out with more passion when they try to hurt someone.

Now Dan, I've seen men who could talk the ear off an elephant. I have often been accused of being "too quiet", My voice is soft and doesn't carry well, therefore, I cannot shout. I am very quiet by nature and have been "jilted" by some men because they say I don't talk enough. What's a gal to do? When we talk we get accused of talking too much and when we don't talk, we are moody and unfriendly. I can't win. :(

On the other hand, I have brothers who never shut up. I think they must talk in their sleep, so I doubt the opening of the seventh seal would stop them.

Some women destroy men because men are really the weaker sex.

Tentmaker, You are always going to have deceitful women as well as men. It sounds like you've been hurt. Well I have to, but I can guarantee you, having someone lie to you doesn't hurt near as bad as having your "loving" husband put his fist in your face for 22 years.
I would say "grow up and get over it". I had to. Satan is the father of all lies and he is also the father of abuse. God never promised we wouldn't be hurt in this life. We have to bring it to him as ask for his help to trust again. I, of all people, know it isn't easy. I've spent the last 13 years trying to learn to trust men again and I've been hurt very badly by a man within the last five years, but I asked God for help and have managed to put it behind me.

All women are not liars just as all men are not drunks or abusive. We can't live our lives looking back all the time and we can't go around generalizing people.

Well you must have met some horrid women in your life.

I am more open to the presence of the Holy Spirit than many but I cannot lie and would never strike out to hurt someone.

Galatians 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, F19 fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

I am embarrassed that you would actually post such nonsense as this. Granted, it is your opinion, and you have a right to it; I am just surprised to see that someone who is called to minister the Gospel would have such chauvinistic opinions.

Could not let this one pass by! And what exactly was the man's role in this!! Women did not destroy them - they destroyed themselves. It was thier own sin that caused them to stumble.

I know very few men or women that fit the classic sterotype ascribed to them. I have run across many emotional emotional men, and very logical women. Until we get past these sterotypes our ability to be ministers of the gospel will suffer.

Absolutely, we are all responsible for our own sins. I could agree with NCTM if he said these men's weaknesses concerning women and lust brought them down. But in each case, these men carry the heavier weight of guilt.

It isn't necessarily a stereotype but rather a tendency that has been studied and validated. Men and women think differently and also handle emotion differently.

If you could plot men and women, emotion vs reason, you would have two bell curves. The men midpoint would be more toward reason while the women's midpoint would be more toward emotion.

If you want secondary proof, look at voting patterns. Women tend more toward economic liberalism since it "seems" compassionate. Men tend away from it because it simply doesn't work well.
