In answer to your question, at least in the pic in the linked article; yes her cleavage shows.

Actually no. I saw no cleavage that wasn't the norm for a prom dress and saw nothing overtly immodest. Exceptions could have been made for her and there was nothing excessive with her attire. She looked fine and didn't look immodest.

It's probable that other girls showed 'cleavage' but weren't as endowed as she was. Her parents expressed the same opinion: their daughter was naturally larger than average, so the dress exaggerated her figure. There is no way every girl in that school exposed absolutely no cleavage whatsoever. I believe she was singled out due to her bust size. Her being above average in size probably caused undue attention. I feel bad for her in that sense.

The nipple thing you brought up was over the edge and unnecessary IMO. Why say such a thing? It was TMI. I don't believe her dancing would have brought your prediction to fruition. Kind of over the top?

I feel bad for the girl, she meant no harm, and tried to look pretty, and there is a lot of doubt that all those other girls showed absolutely no cleavage. She was singled out over her size IMO.

If there were other girls similarly dressed, then I would have an issue. But we don't know that. Bottom line, she is showing cleavage against the rules. They were kind enough to let her stay.

And if you don't think she is immodest.....

I saw nothing immodest in her dress. She's a large busted girl and a larger girl altogether. That is all I saw Ann.

My wife was the same in HS. Not as large framed, but similar 'top-side'.

Cleavage was an issue then too, but she wasn't singled out over her size. Grace was shown and I believe the same could have been extended here. In our world it is highly unlikely that all girls exposed absolutely no cleavage.

And no I don't think she was immodest.....

    .....and we have 3 daughters.

The dress was immodest for Brittany Minder.

With that much breast revealed, I am surprised she didn't get accosted by some pervert.

Lost or not, she was showing way too much.

You saw nothing immodest in that dress? Wow. Look at the neckline. It's purposely drawing attention away from the face and towards the chest.

As far as being singled out, the dress has a "sweetheart" neckline in it, purposely showing cleavage. It's not like there was no way to cover that up. The dress was intended to show that cleavage.

Plainly put, she knew the rule. She broke the rule. The rule was enforced. No apology necessary. And if that Dad had any backbone, he'd have told his daughter she got was she deserved for intentionally breaking the rule.

The moderators of the dress code may have ruined young Brittany's night, but who knows... they also may have been instrumental in saving her life.

P4T, from your posts, you sound like you wouldn't have a problem if the school sponsored a nude dance :tear:

IMHO, Dad should have stopped her from even going to that dance in that piece of cloth (note: I will not call that a dress) until she was properly attired.

Hmm, I wonder what her date had to say about it.

She broke the rule. End of. No apology.

We can debate the rights and wrongs of the rule if we like and how much cleavage is too much (put it this way, when I was a healthy late teen boy, I would have found it difficult to look her in the eye...) but that's another matter.

No, but some of the boys attending might think that they're owed one.
