Not taking into account the texts using to translate in Engliash version...

Wouldn't JUST the sheer fact of MUCH more knowledge of the Cultures/customs/history/word usuage we have today compared to time of 1611 mean todays versions are superior?

That more information availablr today would be greater than ANY differences in texts used to translate versions?

A general survey of contemporary translations to the original 1611 (or several of the subsequent updates) yields a plethora of examples of this truth.

Too much of idiom and nuance of the original meaning is overlooked because of a lack of scholarship in many areas. The simple truth is that (not only textually) we have far better translations now because of the work in better understanding the original intent and meaning of the authors due to extensive scholarship and archaeology.
