C4K,
Thats easy.
Christ was very much exalted in my eyes, mind and heart.
This was clearly free form dancing. It wasnt something that was meticulously planned, rehearsed and practiced. And she clearly wasnt trying impress or communicate with anyone but God. If I recall corectly, when she was done she just walked off. Didn't even look at the people gathered. Had no concern for a bow or applaus
I am not any kind of dancer. I do no dancing of any kind. Not ball room, not free form, nothing. I have no interest in it. It has no allure to me at all.
But when I see her dancing her heart out for her Lord like that, I just think of how wonderfully Christ must be blessing her and ministering to her in her life, to inspire her to show an expression of love back to Him like she did.
I play guitar and sing for God, but it sure doesnt require the type of physical stamina that free form dancing like she did requires.
Christ was definetly exalted in my heart. And since I'm nobody special...just a regular dude... Christ was surely exalted in many other peoples hearts as well.
:godisgood:
Wow... watch this... incredible..

Thanks - thats the point, it all comes down to you. -
C4K
C4K.....THIS was your request.....
I happen to be a man. :wavey:
And I explained precisely how Christ was exalted before man.
But its not just my testimony
I have posted scriptures over and over again regarding dancing.
Remember?
God apparently likes it. He approves of it. You and others might not, but God...DOES.

Thats not the point - there is nothing in this young woman's dance that points to Christ. You keep going back to this non sequitor. There is no way you or I can judge her heart either way. For you to guess she is exalting Christ has no more validity than my guessing she is exalting herself. -
Brother, this is really something.
Standing firm says its not scriptural.
I show him scriptures that prove it is.
You ask me how Christ is glorified before men, and I give you a personal testimony of how Christ is glorified before men.
You criticize me for giving you what you asked for.
You say it all comes down to me.
I share that that is what you asked for.
You say "thats not the point" :tonofbricks:
Then why did you ask me to give you that information???? :BangHead:
Now you say nothing in it points to Christ...even after I gave you a personal testimony and scriptural evidence.
This reminds me of the old Abbott and Costello skit..."Whos on 1st"!
Remember that one?
:godisgood: -
Yup - we are two different pages here brother.
You seem to say that what is important is how it appeals to you. If there were anything in the dance that pointed to Christ I might see your point.
That is the problem with this style of "worship." It is all open to private interpretation. -

There was no worship in the video. If one closely watches the girl's face when the camera is on her, she looks like she is either extremely angry, or in chronic pain from all the contortions that rock and roll music is driving her to do.
She looks like she is on drugs with her eyes sunk in in this particular shot. -
-
I watched this video from the beginning to the end. On near the end of video I saw this woman danced with "hand" gun. Is this real worship? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I'm not going to name any names of course, but the Phariseeical nit-picking and legalistic attitudes that are unfortunetly on display on this thread by some are simply beyond comprehension.
Even so....:godisgood: -

But one does not defeat demons with hand "gun" gestures. One defeats demons only after one is submitted to God. After submitting to God, we are told, not to fight with the devil, but to resist him.
Whom resist steadfast in the faith... -

If I saw this out on the street being done, I wouldn't be able to see the worship of Jesus in it. It just looks to me like a druggy going around and around trying to make it rain. On the other hand, the video posted on here a few months ago(can't remember whether I posted it or somebody else) you can definitely see that it is aimed at telling a story about Jesus through dance.
