You hated Barack Obama's cult-like followers, with their mindless stares of adoration, their impervious barrier between emotion and reason, and their instant fury when confronted with the facts about his record, his history, or his philosophy.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated Obama's shallow, facile rhetoric, with its hollow promises and loose, lowest-common-denominator word-vomit disconnected from any real policy.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated how Obama was gleefully lying to credulous low information voters, filling them with empty promises of economic prosperity that would never come, based on plans that could never be achieved.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated how Obama lied about his positions on single-payer healthcare, gay marriage, gun control, and abortion to get elected, knowing that if he ever revealed the truth about what he believed that he'd be unelectable.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated how Obama rode the wave of constant attention from the mainstream media into office, and how they played along with his game, draining the life out of every other candidate by describing him as an inevitable juggernaut, an unstoppable political force, and a game-changer who was tapping into something deep and powerful in American political life.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated how Obama's naive ignorance of the real and brutal world of international affairs was papered over by his hollow promises to make the world respect the United States again.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated that smug, arrogant, sneering affect that took hold the moment he thought the cameras weren't looking.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated Obama's cadre of sleazy, weird, creepy advisers, with their combination of over-the-edge ideological fervor and their stench of petty corruption.

But you love it from Trump.

You hated Obama's support for bail-outs, too-big-to-fail, and big, taxpayer-funded government intervention in dying industries.

But you love it from Trump.

Okay, this op/ed is over a year old and it sounds as such - Rick Wilson wrote it, and he's a big GOP operative. His tone and words imply an equivalency between Trump 2016 and Obama 2008 and their respective supporterss BUT the big difference is the MSM was in knee-deep in the Obama cult back then. They were the ones swooning over Obama, few of his voters did. Wilson should update his article and criticize the media for THEIR hypocrisy when it comes to "Obama can do no wrong, Trump can do no right".

Rick Wilson is virulently anti-Trump, always has been. At one point he said, "They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump, and that’s a fact.” LINK

In the Light, IMO you have never read the Constitution, served this nation, or have the vaguest idea what it means to elect someone who will serve the people instead of themselves to the power and money that comes from we the people. Donald Trump is a breath of fresh air, but you have no problem with the Democrat nominee who is guilty of murder, treason, bribery, theft, perjury, and abuse of power. The Clintons have been involved in scandal after scandal since the mid 70s. This nation was built of each person carrying his own weight, and following the opportunities in a free enterprise system. It was founded on limited government . America thrives on creating jobs. It does not thrive on redistributing wealth and giving handouts to those who can work.

The things you accuse ITL of are things you will gleefully ignore when you go to vote for Trump. Hilarious lack of perspective.

So what is it you are going to vote for Hillary, gay marriage, abortion, gun control, government health insurance, corruption? Yes, sounds like you really make a good use of time.

Drop the mind-reading act. You're lousy at it.

Learn how to read, Saturneptune. I don't support Hillary. I will not be voting for Hillary or Trump.

I didn't. And accusing someone of not serving in the military is a frequent tactic of Saturneptune.

However, I've read the Constitution and I am well aware of the traits and values of candidates that would lend themselves to serving the people rather than their own interests. For SN to apply this metric to Trump and have him pass his test is the height of irony.

ITL, so if you hate Trump and are not supporting Hillary, who are you for? Or are you not voting? It must mean very little to you. For some, freedom and liberty come cheap.

First I am not a Trump lover. Some of his actions grated against my quick. - e.g. Words concerning McCain, Making fun of disabled individual, etc...

But the list of accusations against him is at a partial fault because (for instance) his "empty promises" have not yet been proven empty (build a wall) while Obama's have i.e. - If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor -

Personally Not only could I not keep my doctor but she was replaced twice by a Physicians Assistant (PA - not a doctor).

For that "change" my co-pays doubled and tripled, My premiums tripled.

The thread is about Trump and Obama being the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. Obama, like all liberal/socialists, they govern my more government to redistribute wealth. Donald Trump believes in a system of less government, free markets to obtain wealth, and protected borders.

The number one job of the federal government is to protect we the people and protect our Constitutional rights. Obama has failed to protect our borders. Hillary will do the same, come on in and join us. Trump will protect our borders. Trump will run the economy on a free market system. Trump will have nations respect us again. American factories will return. Jobs will come back. Our infrastructure needs fixing and Trump will use free enterprise to do it.

The whole idea of the thread is in the Twilight Zone. Once upon a time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
