This is a 7 year old girl, who was diagnosed early on with autism
Her name is Gina Incandela. (You can google her to get the story)
She is singing the national anthem at one of the NBA playoff games.
Prepare yourself...
(and if you are very patriotic you might want to get a kleenex)

I am sure there is a spot somewhere in the middle of Africa for you -
I will say that I would prefer that "America the Beautiful" be our national antem, with its reference to God shedding His grace on us.
But our national anthem is a fine song. Very stirring at the end when it gets to...

NOOO.. I like Africa. -

Now folks y'all are bein' a mite too hard on billwald. As a matter of fact, he is right. The range of the tune is way too wide. It does have going for it the fact that it has the big ending. But when compared to America the Beautiful, it falls short.
Now don't get me wrong. I get goosebumps when I hear the Star-Spangled Banner, particularly when it's sung well with a little flare lke the 7-year-old girl. But it pure musical terms, and poetic content, give me "O Beautiful for spacious skies" any day. -
She did an outstanding job!!...... But it just amazes me that so many people get so caught up by the performance of the song that they forget to show respect for the representation of the song. I think that there should be silence during the our anthem.
