    Thanks Helen,
this means that this site is right and Theresa really said those things. If she believed those things then she cannot have been a real christian.

Basically I agree with Rev. Jim. I think he is born again. I think he has one many to Christ and has stood firm in the faith. But they do overly emphasis numbers.

Sometimes I think we need to learn when to step down. Some men are able to pastor to the end. Most of us cannot. Wisdom is knowing when is enough.

In all fairness, I did not agree with Graham's theology from the beginning, but I never doubted his heart's desire to the Lord's bidding, and I know many a person who came to the Lord Jesus under his ministry. Then, also keep in mind, Billy only did the preaching. It was the dedicated many who stood behind him in counselling rooms and prayer, and the faithful churches who received these converts and discipled them.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I would if meant some a beginning of a truce and peace.

Sometimes in life concessions have to be made for the greater Gospel of Peace.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Mar 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Luk 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Act 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Eph 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

    Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

    mojoala,

Although we are to live at peace with one another as far as possible, the Bible never advocates peace at any cost. The peace the Bible speaks of is primarily peace with God and the peace which is inside a man when he becomes a follower of Christ. That is what is meant by the Gospel of Peace, not peace on earth. That will not happen until Christ comes. He is the Prince of Peace.

Peace at any cost requires a sacrifice of truth and righteousness to evil. Christ did that once, Himself, and conquered in the Resurrection. We do not have to compromise with evil in any way, shape, or form.

The Pope kissing the Q'ran reminds me of Judas kissing Jesus -- a massive betrayal of the truth.

Did you ignore all the Scriptures denoting Peace?

What if Jesus never sat down with Sinners?

The only TRUE peace will come when Jesus Christ comes back to this earth and sets up His Millennial Kingdom in Jerusalem. There will be NO true peace until that time because of the evil in man's heart. Kissing the Koran is compromise---it will NEVER bring peace. The Koran comes from the pit of hell.

How often did he sit down with the Pharisees and Sadducees?
Read Mat.23. His words were harsh words of condemnation. In John 8:44 he calls them children of the devil. Where's the peace in that? The Pharisees were very public. They needed public rebuke for their hypocrisy and sin, and Christ took every opportunity to do so. Billy Graham is a public figure. He has done more harm to the cause of Biblical Christianity than anyone else alive. He needs public rebuke. To stand arm in arm with a Catholic bishop and say: "This man believes just the same that I do," is akin to blasphemy. It destroys the gospel message of true Christianity.

    @ mojala

Are you also willing to say that all religions lead to heaven for the sake of peace?
There is also a false peace. What do you think will the Antichrist do? Promote peace with his ecumenical world religion. And then the world will finally be a better place, right?

ALL english versions of the Bible except for KJV are New Age...issuing in a one-world government and religion. source. The same source states "five Bible editors have lost their ability to speak." (urban legend)

Links to a site that slanders Christian musicians. ("Guilt by association," red herrings, nonsensical arguments, bad science, and outright falsehoods). source

Christian bands such as Plankeye can't be Christian, because their name isn't "Christian enough" (whatever that means). source

Parents should arrange the marriage of their chidren. Dating is sin. (an endorsed site by these folks). source

I could go on all night, but I think the picture is clear.

I won't go on all night (it's past my bedtime, already) but will answer with a couple of sentences. Billy Graham, now 87, has preached to larger crowds (well over 200 million) than about anyone in history, IMO, and for almost my entire life, and I'm 58. Amazingly, Cliff Barrows as song leader and George Beverly Shea as featured soloist have been with him as a team over the entire 57 plus years with the now 97 year old Bev Shea having missed exactly one of his crusades in that time, and that under doctor's orders, a couple of years ago. Cliff Barrows is the spring chicken of this trio, at only age 83, and I don't believe he has missed any, but am not sure of this.

Oh that many could have the opportunities they have.

I went to your first “source” and what you are accusing them of saying and what they are actually saying,....uh are you sure that you didn't get the links mixed up?

    You said this

    Some extreme viewpoints:

Parents who do anything but homeschool their kids are sinning. Source “

The source you accused said this:
“I used to say I'd send my child to Christian school so that I could do
my research, etc. but the Lord made me look around and think about what
Christian schools have to offer. I don't feel that I have any
alternative but to homeschool. It is my ministry to train my child and
I'll do it in the name of Jesus. Some sisters can't come home because
they don't have a husband or the one they've got won't let them. Pray
and try to get your child in a Christian school then. For single women
if it looks like one day you'll marry, make sure you both agree about
the wife staying at home to guide the house.”

judging by your track record, I didn't bother looking up the rest of your sources.
