Is Cal/Non-Cal important enough to divide?
Tom recently described the SBC, and his church, thusly:
(Originally Posted by Tom Butler) I think it is correct to say that Calvinism is growing among Southern Baptists. And, at one time, I thought that this would be the next big battle issue for the Convention. And although there are occasional potshots here and that, that battle has not yet materialized on a significant scale. My own congregation is sort of a microcosm of the convention. We have a number of DoGs, including at least three... -

The soul is NOT the Body - Mt. 10:28
One primary problem with Christian cults is that they define human nature on the same level as animal life. They see no constituent distinctions between animals and humans in regard to their constituent nature. They interpret "soul" to either be equal to "life" or "body" and they interpret "spirit" to be equal to "air" or "breath." Beer Drinking In Germany
This week I listened to Dr. Erwin Lutzer answer a question on his broadcast from a person interested in discussing alcohol consumption. The question had details about her church which has some problems with their statement of faith and constitution/new members agreement as far as new members agreeing to not use alcohol in any form at any time, or they cannot join the church (in good conscience at least). The pastor of this church believes alcohol use is permissable, as long as people aren't... -
Was it God's will for Adam to Sin ?
Was it Gods will and intention for Adam to bring sin into the world : For Rom 5:12 reads:
12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Yes indeed it was God's will for Adam to sin. For the purpose of creation of the world was all for Christ..

We Are Not Charged With...
According to the mandate of the Great Commission, the Christian Community is NOT charged with "saving" the world..., so why are so many trying to do just that? Christians have been charged with spreading the Gospel. To tell everyone of Jesus.
Why then do churches and out-reach efforts begin with an attitude of trying to convert these folks?
No wonder we turn so many people off.
Last night our Pastor spoke about God's plan. He went into as much detail as the allotted time would...
