Are you Emergent?
I'm off my Rick Warren rant now, so on to another topic that has really made me see red. The Emergent movement. Many say it is not going anywhere, but I see it everywhere in the church today. Maybe not totally but in small doses. The sold out Emergents want to rid the world of Christianity as we know it. They are an all inclusive global religious movement that has a hatred for traditional Christianty. Check out this blog on science from Emergent Village:... -

Carnal Christians, false converts, or weak brethren?
I am reading a most excellent book I got in the mail today called Your Eternal reward. The premise of the book is on the judgment seat of Christ. The book only has one chapter on the great white throne judgment. In a page the author has given support for carnal christians. However people like MacArthur, ray Comfort, and others refer to these people as "false converts." The author of this book is a Calvinist also (at least I think he is) but he holds very similar views to great bible teachers... -
Do you see Two Different levels of the Holy spirit Among believers today?
That ALL are indwelt, just SOME have the 'baptism of Holy Ghost?"

Question About Cals/Non Cals
I know that there is such thing as a stupid question, but bear with me for asking.
Am I correct in understanding that the most basic difference between Calvinists and Non-Calvinists on this board has to do with the question of predestination vs. free will?
I understand the two concepts but until I spent much time here, I neither was exposed to nor thought about them in the terms used.
Thanks.
Ps- I'm not trolling.:wavey: -
How do we define what is good and evil?
Why anything is considered EVIL in the Calvinist account of God and creation? If everything is ordained and rendered certain by God for his glory, including moral evil, why not praise God for sin? After all, sin is his will and necessary for his full glorification, right? Why not celebrate sin?
Also, in what setting would irresistibly rendering another person’s unending torture for one’s own glory be considered good? How can that been defined as good by any standard?
But, I know a... -
Biblically, can women be deacons?
I am struggling with this. It appears the more liberal churches allow for women to serve as deacons. Previously Ive rejected churches that allow it but Im getting a bit desperate in my search for a church.....your thought would be appreciated. Thank you. -
Original Sin
Here is an excellent article on the subject of original sin. My view most closely agrees with the Eastern Orthodox, who also reject total depravity, as do I.

Billy Graham and the Keswick Movement
I'd like to get comments on the following:
"It was Stephen Olford who introduced Billy Graham to the Keswick message at a Keswick Convention in 1946 over a period of days of Bible study and prayer in a hotel room. This teaching gave Billy Graham the assurance of God's power in his life, which Graham wrote in his autobiography, Just As I Am, came to him as a second blessing and had empowered his preaching ever since."

Can Believers Go One Day Without Sinning?
Let's hear a definitive answer from Scripture for this question. A lot depends upon it.
Stick to answering this question without attacking other posters. If you attack other posters, the integrity of yourself and of your expressed ideas will mean nothing.
As well, try your best not to ramble on with disorganized and irrelevant notions. Speak briefly and concisely like Jesus did without chatting. Lol.
