I'm sure that Nancy Pelosi hasn't been briefed about this foiled attack.

Correct me if I am wrong, but after Pearl Harbor was attacked we didn't find any Japanese walking the streets? I herd they were locked up? Seems Muslims wana come out of the closet and express the freedom to say whatever and we don't remember Pearl? I don't suggest locking all Muslims up but seems WE are walking on eggshells instead of the other way around.

The only problem with this premise, mirroring just about every other major terror plot and terror bust that we have ever studied, is that the men were radicalized and provocateured by an FBI informant, who provided the group with the fake weapons that led to their arrest.

Just as in every other case, the men will likely turn out to be semi-retarded dropouts who eagerly followed the fed’s lead in the pursuit of a promise of massive cash gifts and a way out of their miserable poverty-stricken lives. However, this won’t be reported with one iota of the gusto that the corporate media are pushing this story today.

What we already know for sure is that the men had been under FBI surveillance for nearly a year. The fact that it took the feds nearly 12 months to get the men to accept fake weapons in order for them to be charged with “conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction within the United States” is evidence in and of itself that this was a case of entrapment, which is only confirmed when we learn that, “The FBI and other agencies monitored the men and provided an inactive missile and inert C-4 to the informant for the defendants.”

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said that “the group was relatively unsophisticated, penetrated early and not connected to any outside group.”

Once again, the FBI identified a disparate group of men that shared the majority of the country’s opinion that the war on terror was wrong, radicalized them, offered them cash incentives for following the lead of the FBI informant and then finally, after a year, got them to accept fake weapons. As in every other case, Without the involvement of the FBI informant, there would have been no “terror plot” to speak of.

    <snip>

This whole PR stunt in another psychological trick designed to enlist public support for the wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq as well as a police state at home to deal with “domestic terrorists.” We learn that the suspects were upset about “Muslim people were being killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by U.S. military forces,” according to officials, the implication being that anyone who opposes the “war on terror” is a potential terrorist themselves.

Officials have seized upon the arrests to propagandize for the police state with glee, as well as refocusing the apparatus of the war on terror to target U.S. citizens as “homegrown terrorists”.

“This latest attempt to attack our freedoms shows that the homeland security threats against New York City are sadly all too real and underscores why we must remain vigilant in our efforts to prevent terrorism,” New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement.

“This was a long, well-planned investigation, and it shows how real the threat is from homegrown terrorists,” said Rep. Peter King, of New York.

I've lost count how many of these "terror plots" have turned out to be nothing more than the "authorities" setting a group of idiots up so they can get a big story to justify a militarized police/security state and the continued funding and expanding of the same? About every one so far. This one will turn out much the same as the rest I figure.

Homegrown terrorists. Like all us "right wing extremists" who believe abortion is murder and that we have a right to keep and bear arms. Won't be long and it will be our turn to be set up and arrested.

While I do believe these men are dangeroous, if for no other reason than that they could be sold on an idea of carrying out a crime or terrorist attack...... I do believe from all I've read and heard that they were profiled based upon their sympathies and vunerabilities.... and then used by agent provacateurs to set up a demonstration .....or a distraction..... either way.... it captures our attention and is designed to either scare us and/or persuade us.

Who, if any among us exists, that may possess strong sympathies concerning some issue, and may be in 'possession' of some vunerabilities....which we either deny or lack self-awareness- so that we could be manipulated into doing something which..... without the manipulation and provocation adding some confusion, we'd know was patently wrong? Hopefully, none who visit this board. What is just about placing people in this position?

Would it make you feel better if they arrested bright, sophisticated, well-connected terrorist instead? I would rather read 100 of these stories than one that started with Synagogue Bombed...

You may be onto something here.

Maybe we should wait till they kill a few hundred people and then arrest them.

Works out pretty good so long as you or yours aren't among the dead.;)

“The men will likely turn out to be semi-retarded dropouts,” we stated in our article yesterday, basing our forecast on the fact that in every other major terror sting in the west given so much prominence by officials and the corporate media, the poor suckers rounded up by the feds always turn out to be low IQ petty criminals down on their luck, provocateured and armed by federal agents.

We already knew that the men were provided with an inert rocket launcher and fake C4 explosives by an FBI informant, and now as more details emerge, our original summation of the case is proving accurate.

According to an Associated Press report, the four men charged with planning to blow up synagogues and military planes, “Were amateurs every step of the way. They had trouble finding guns and bought cameras at Wal-Mart to photograph their targets. One was a convicted purse snatcher, another smoked marijuana the day the plot was to be carried out.”

The report continues,”Relatives said the defendants were down-on-their-luck men who worked at places like Wal-Mart, a landscaping company and a warehouse when they weren’t behind bars. Payen’s lawyer said he was “intellectually challenged” and on medication for schizophrenia. Marilyn Reader said he has “a very low borderline” IQ.”

    SOURCE

I don't know about the rest of you folks but I would just as soon the "authorities" were out there actually doing their job catching the real bad guys instead of wasting time and tax dollars setting up idiots who wouldn't know which end of a missle to point at their intended target.

The onliest way on earth that this group of individuals could ever even come by the "terrorists" tools as in explosives and stinger missles is if they had govt connections. No govt connections, no tools, no tools no terrorist attack.

I can't believe you all would fall so easily for such a sloppy frame up. On second thought...yeah I can believe it. After all I've witnessed you all do it every time they've pulled this same scam in the past. This is for propaganda purposes only it has nothing to do with protecting the people of New York, fighting terrorism or saving the day.

You are getting in over your head again [post #10]. Why don't you give it a break? Every person in the country, excluding you, is not guilty of destroying the country.

I was merely pointing out the obvious OR. Somebody has to remain calm and thinking clearly. Apparently there aren't too many folks around here besides me who can do that anymore and as a brother in Christ I feel obligated to step in and help you all out in a time of need like this. Your welcome.

Your news source is the same folks reporting a conspiracy that will cause the Internet to shut down by 2012. Want to borrow my tin foil hat?

Yer still using tin foil? Well no wonder you can't see the obvious right in front of your eyes!

I'll let ya in on a little secret... reflectix is the only way to go in tin foil hat tecnology! Otherwise (with regular tin foil) you'll just go on believing whatever the military media industrial complex tells ya. Try it out you'll be surprised at how many corporate lies Reflectix filters out.

This "terror plot" is just another scam in a long line of them to get all you folks who react before you think all worked up and ever so eager to give the state even more power and control over your lives. This was nothing more than a bunch of idiots who couldn't have come up with the ways and means to do any of the things they are being accused of if it hadn't been for the govt stepping in and giving them the tools. This was a set up from the begining. Do you really think a guy working at Wal Mart could up with the money to buy stinger missles and C4? Come on! Get real.

poncho, the men were "radicalized" inside of prison by a muslim chaplain (imam). They were not "radicalized" by the government. Radicalization inside of prison is a growing concern. That's why they were not weapons experts - they had not been to training camps in Afghanistan and elsewhere. You can choose to believe islamic propaganda or the FBI. I choose to believe the brave men and women of the FBI who serve our nation with their hands tied behind their backs because of the ACLU and other left-wing nut jobs.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_...5-22_radicals_often_born_in_state_prison.html

And the extreme far right nut jobs like Texe Marrs, et al, don't help either.

No they were just given the tools to carry out a terrorist attack by the govt of the USA. None of them could have gotten their hands on this kind of stuff without help from the govt.

I have no idea what a stinger missle costs on the black market or even if one can be had at all but I'm pretty sure it would be beyond the reach of a Wal Mart associate even if one were available.

This is so obviously bogus I'm having a hard time believing anyone would buy into it even though I have witnessed many falling for the same kind of govt/media propaganda in the past. I mean come on this is getting a little more than ridiculous now.

This kind of publicity is aimed at reinforcing the ADL's (see this thread) idea that all Americans who question or disagree with them are to be considered "radical extremists" and a danger to democracy. It's also geared towards further convincing Americans that living in a police state where the constitution is considered a "radical extremist" document is the only thing that will keep us safe. Now they're even training the Boy Scouts to take on "domestic terrorists", like disgruntled U.S. veterans for pities sake.

Reportedly about $5,000 on the black market, sometimes cheaper, for the older Russian models which don't have the range as the new ones, according to what I heard on cable news. Not only that, some of these groups are stealing identities and using stolen credit card info to buy their contraband - hard to trace, hardly ever prosecuted overseas in Nigeria, etc. With the Internet, anything is possible, and the black market booms....

So then why did the govt feel the need to give these guys exactly what they would need to pull off a "terrorist attack"?

I just noticed you said "with the internet anything is possible". Does that mean the government and mega corporations should control the internet now...to keep us all safe?

Just more military/media complex conditioning. The over riding message here is that freedom must either be controlled by the state or outlawed outright to keep us all safe.

    I don't buy it.
