What happened to global warming?

    This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998.

    But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

    And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.

    So what on Earth is going on? ........

    .........One thing is for sure. It seems the debate about what is causing global warming is far from over. Indeed some would say it is hotting up.

    ..yeah it's been a disappointment, 39 degrees here when I got up this morning, could use some o' dat warming about now..

    "Global warming" doesn't exist. Never has.

    It's a scam to cover the transfer of wealth from the U.S. to whoever the UN thinks deserves it.

    Global warming is a fact. It happens annually in alternating hemispheres.

    The "hype" has ended because it's propaganda has served it's purpose, as someone has observed, the Secular Humanist Party is now in control.

    Gore dodges the question, then the mic is shut off.

    Great.
    WHEN were ya'll going to tell me?
    Since the '70's, I've been doing global 'Cooling'. What happened to the Ice Age that was supposed to happen?
    Oh well, guess it won't be too hard to change the signs.

    I believe that global warming does occur, but I believe that its been exaggerated way too far. We had to have some kind of global wamring to get out of the Ice Age didn't we? While I can't remember who it was, there was a lady who is either in Congress or the Senate who was giving a speech on global warming a few months ago. She said that she can actually feeling it getting warmer. I would have to say that's because it summer. It normally gets warmer & even hotter during the summer time. If we are actually experiencing a global warming my question is how come we haven't been having an increased number of hurricanes since 2005? You'd think if our planet is getting warmer that there would be more hurricanes & more intense storms.

    It's really funny to me...the global warm...er, climate change apologists are nowhere to be found.

    Did it get the swine flu? Where are our bapist boarders who defended global warming as being truth? Hello!!! What are the wise liberals who bought into this now? That's right, they are trying to sell us government health care with a side helping of cap and trade. God help up!!!

    Well, are there not takers. The silence is deafening. Is global warming real or is it not? Or has it faded away in the midst of less hurricanes, cooler temperatures, etc?

    Even those who would vehemently defend manmade global warming on the BB, simply can't.

    How do you defend the indefensible? How can you defend such an obvious work of fiction, masquerading as "science?"

    The Sun has been cooling since 1998, that is what is responsible for the cooling trend. And there has been a lack of sunspots as well. Once there was a dearth of sunspots for 50 years that resulted in the "little ice age"

    Sunspots have been down for the last 10 years, and there is no way to predict when solar activity will increase again.

    It was never man who is responsible for cooling or heating of the earth. God is in charge of that. :thumbsup:

    To be fair, even MP realizes some of this junk was over the top.

    There were only ever 2 or 3 posters that seriously defended this...and I think they know a lost cause when they see one.
