Question regarding textual criticism

The fact is, that of the 5500 odd Greek manuscripts currently extant over 95% of them concur with the textform represented by the Traditional Text.

This Textform = Eastern Orthodox copies of copies, correct?

But it is true that no two of them even agree with each other? That is a statement I've often made but never asked the "expert".

The Byzantine textform. The only textform that originated in the region most of the books of the NT were addressed to, and the only exclusively Greek speaking region to preserve the scriptures uninterruptedly. And it is no more correct to assume all those who lived in the Byzantine Empire were Eastern Orthodox than to assume all those who lived in the Roman Empire were Roman Catholic. Unless, of course, you are trying for another "guilt by association" fallacy. :)

The differences between the different Byzantine manuscripts are considerably less than just the differences between Aleph and B in just the book of Matthew. :)

And Bob Jones University, which uses the CT, is a bastion of liberal education, to be sure! Actually, almost every conservative educational institution that teaches Greek uses the UBS' Greek New Testament.
Exactly, Why UBS Greek NT? I read the article what David Cloud explained about UBS Greek NT. He wrote:
" ....Note that the editor's names are given, but we are not told that Carlo Martini is a Roman Catholic bishop, nor that the others are theological modernists and unbelievers!" page 25 on Unholy Hands on God's Holy Book - report on the UBS
Suppose, you ask yourself this question -- Can Baptists and Catholics walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3). Can Baptists and Catholics walk together, except they be agreed concerning using the UBS? We see liberals and conservatives agreed concerning using the UBS in Bible colleges/seminaries. Is there a problem?

Of course liberalism concerns not the text one uses, but how one interprets the text!
We see the different interpretation on which Greek texts that they use among Bible colleges/seminaries. A naturalistic scholar, for example, said the TR is inferior text many times. A Consistently Christian scholar said that the TR is superior text. See this argument between them. This is the key problem for today.

How to interpret the text is to read what the Greek said. To read the spelling of the Greek words is to notice different meaning because textual critics changed the spelling of any Greek words for other meaning or a replacement of the words. Another one is to change one letter in one word and replace a word for another word or meaning.

I read the article what David Cloud . .

Now that is both funny and sad. That anyone would quote such as "truth" or even "support" for their argument shows the paucity of evidence of their position. Cloud is a laughingstock to scholarship (or truth).

The unblogger David Allan Black had something interesting to say on this subject:

"Folks, textual criticism is simply an unavoidable science for anyone serious about the Bible." (7/4/2013)

Umm - this is a three year old thread.
How observant you are. I am doing my part in the recycling effort. Why waste bandwidth in starting a new thread on a given topic when an older one is perfectly acceptable in continuing a theme?

I don't know - it actually takes MORE bandwith to load a thread with a lot of pages on it rather than a brand new one but maybe that's just me. :)
