McDonald's Starts 365Black Website

McDonald's created a new website just for black people, which make up only 12% of the population. I don't like McDonald's. Without exception, every time I've been inside one there's a bunch of low-class employees and a bunch of low-class customers. Not to mention, the food is just nasty.

Anyway, I find it amazing that we in this country have set diversity on such a pedestal that we have companies making ridiculous websites like this. Black power and hamburgers have nothing to do with each other unless you've accepted the PC myth that diversity is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

A quick google search will show you that minoirties make up 68% of their domestic workforce and 45% of their domestic sales. Why shouldn't they do what they can to connect with minority, particularly African-American customers?

Low class employess and customers? That's not even close to cool to say that, nor does it come across as even mildly Christian.

I'm simply amazed that Gods people refer to others that we are to reach in this manner.

Have you ever been to a McDonald's? Most of the employees are as dumb as a bag of rocks and act in a ghetto manner and it drives me nuts. The last time I was in a McDonald's it was about three months ago and it seemed like almost all of the other customers were illegal Mexicans who can't speak English.

I said most McDonald's patrons in my experience are low-class. I never said you were low-class; I never said any racial or ethnic group is low-class.

Addressing why McDonald's bows down before the diversity idol was addressed; it has to do with "target marketing" and appealing to demographics (see post #2 in this thread).

McDonald's focus on one particular target demographic could be easily argued as "data indicates a large percentage of sales comes from xx demographic"; YOU chose to comment about "black power" and "low-class" and "ghetto manner." Whether you wish to admit it or not, this indicates a bias towards a certain demographic of the population. That's also called "racism."

The obvious question here is: McDonald's mentions on this site that we should celebrate African-American culture 365 days a year, not just during Black History month; will McDonald's also be developing a "365Asian" web site? Or "365Hispanic" web site? Or any of the other races that we currently have months set aside to "celebrate"?

THAT should be the topic for discussion, without prejudicial language like "ghetto manner" that causes automatic communication filters.
