....From the LA Times, NY Times and Syndicated Talk Show (Jon and Ken - KFI 640 AM Los Angeles), the following is being reported to having appeared in a syndicated column under the name of Ron Paul.
"Order was only restored in L.A.," the publication opined, "when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."
Of course, Paul is denying that he actually made these comments. He claims that they came from a staff member. Paul states he never would have said anything this racially charged or inflammatory. Let's hope so, because this report is going to have some pertinence on the elections, should he become a candidate.

It is my opinion that time has probably mellowed him (if, in fact, he was responsible for that statement), and that this is irrelevant to his campaign for POTUS.
