I would say that as a people and a nation we have "less!" take a look and see for yourself!

    *Phones ~ Wireless
    *Cooking ~ Fireless
    *Cars ~ Keyless
    *Food ~ Fatless
    *Tires ~ Tubeless
    *Dress ~ Sleeveless
    *Youth ~ Jobless
    *Leaders ~ Shameless
    *Relationships ~ Meaningless
    *Attitude~ Careless
    *Wives ~ Fearless
    *Babies ~ Fatherless
    *Feelings ~ Heartless
    *Education ~ Valueless
    *Children ~ Mannerless
    *Politicians ~ Gutless

And while everything seems to be becoming "LESS" those of us who have God in our life, live with a sense of faith where our hopes remain ~ ENDLESS. :godisgood:

Quite frankly, all of this, still leaves me ~ Speechless!!

And sadly many of the pulpits today preach a gospel-less message.

    Pastor Paul,

That is a good list. Two things jump out at me as "less" in today's society. One is less common sense. Too many people rely on technology and the efforts of others to survive. In fact, in a natural or man made nation wide disaster, I dare say 90% of the population has no survival skills.

Another "less" I notice is the love for each other compared to fifty years ago. We are more self centered. It can be seen in traffic etiquette, holding doors open for people, and rude demanding people in restaurants, and in retail establishments, not to mention others.

We have less by a long shot. We have a endless supply of gadgets for the Devil to influence us and our kids and our ability to think for ourself has been nearly stamped out. We can't even decide if we want to lock our car doors on our own because it does it for us. Sometimes I wonder how long it will be before we forget how to use the toilet on our own when the smart john comes out.

Also we have our own Government turning us into slaves of the state. Permit this, license that. How many would survive if the govt just decided they wasn't going to supply us with electricity anymore? Not many. Sure we like our comforts but in reality if they were taken away we would realize how dependant we are on Worldly things and not God. Sometimes I wonder if the Amish aren't the smart ones among us.

Very good post. You are correct. This is one reason why I have MAPS and know how to read MAPS just encase my GPS or Phone dies. So many these days do not know how to read a MAP. Rand McNally Map books are harder to find these days, but get one and learn to read it just encase your tech gadget does not work.

And even sadder that so many these days do not know how to read a PRINTED BOOK, and so many these days do not read or bring their bible to church but only their phones.

That is a kind of thread derail, Evang, but I'll comment briefly:

The word of God is the word of God, whether it's printed, chiseled on a rock, sky-written, or appears through the wonder of organized electrons on a phone or tablet. Or a computer screen, for that matter (think BibleGateway.com and BibleStudyTools.com).
