What I like about him is his simple writing style. A gifted communicator and writer. He knows how to make a topic interesting and I find that appealing. One of the books that I ordered is called Answering the Objections of atheists, agnostics, and skeptics (one of the 4 FREE books that I ordered). Does anyone have it and what do you think? I have a bad feeling and according to what I have read he teaches Intelligent Design and Old Earth Creationism in this book. Is this true? Answers in Genesis has told me so and why they won't sell any of his books. They won't bother with topics like cults, biblical theology, and prophecy, as their focus is on creationism. This may not be enough to toss the book, as even some great Calvinists of the past held these views. What do you say?

I say you should expose yourself to more sources than simply Answers in Genesis.

Have you looked at this book?

I have come to disagree with Sarfati on some points but, on the whole, his book is well worth the time and effort.

I'm sorry but I just want to address this. It was not a FREE book. It was a book you bought with the Amazon credit you received with opening a credit card with them. If I gave you a gift card for books, would you say that the books you got were free? No. Neither were these.

They were free as I did not pay a dime for them nor the shipping. And since I plan on slashing the card I won't have a balance.

Not familiar with that one but thanks. Unfortunately I cannot buy it as it won't be free. I am on a book budget and I do not buy books nor donate to buy books unless they are SS related. I have kept my contract for the most part, however I did donate to get David Jeremiah's latest prophecy book agents of the Apocalypse.

Then read it and review it yourself. Ignore what other people say and try to think for yourself.

No, they were not free books (books that did not need to be paid for) but purchased with a gift card. I could say I have a free iPhone but it was not free. I purchased it with gift cards. Big difference.

    THIS is a free book:

It's a long shipping delay on this one 1-3 weeks and it's already week two. I need more patience...

No they were indeed FREE. When one opens a amazon credit card and store card they are automatically given money to buy on amazon.

And you used this money they gave you to BUY books.

As to not reading books online, you are really losing out. Seriously, I have over 1000 books on my Kindle and I've paid for maybe 15 of them total. Just this month, I have gotten the following books for free:

    (free today)

Flesh: Bringing the Incarnation Down to Earth by Hugh Halter (free today)

    more in the next post

The Pastor's Kid by Barnabas Piper (no longer free)

Be Complete (Colossians) by Wiersbe (no longer free but I've grabbed 6 of this series for free in the last 6 months or so)

Remember, it's only September 9th. I've got the rest of the month to get even more!! Being able to get so many TRULY free books is a wonderful benefit of Amazon and Kindle (or the apps).

I love reading books on my Android tablet with the Kindle app! Adjust the brightness, font size, color. Search for keywords. Highlight a word and access a dictionary for the definition.

I kind of look down at printed books now.

I'm waiting to hear why he won't read online books...

So he would be in the same position of one teaching progressive Cretionism then? God created all life forms, but they were millions of years apart?

    Like a Dr Ross?

I just do not read online books for a variety of reasons one is eyesight and two is distractions.

The benefit of a Kindle or the Kindle app is that you can fully adjust the size of the font and the brightness. I need reading glasses normally but do not with my Kindle Paperwhite (which was also paid for by gift cards earned with Swagbucks). Additionally, there are no more distractions on a Kindle or Kindle app than there would be with a book. I don't know what you mean by distractions.
