Technically, he did not call women at Fox News trashy, he called women who use the F-bomb in a professional setting and/or in business meetings, trashy. That could include women that did or did not work at Fox News.

The top-read story on Politico has quite the catchy headline: “Mike Huckabee complains of ‘trashy’ women at Fox News.” The problem, as critics such as Hot Air’s Noah Rothman have pointed out, is that the former Arkansas governor never said anything of the sort.

Here is the actual Huckabee quote, from an interview with Des Moines radio host Jan Mickelson about a chapter in his new book “God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy“:

“I was shocked that you go into New York meetings… it’s one of those thing where in a business meetings that you might have in the South, or in the Midwest, there in Iowa, you would not have people who would just throw the F-bomb or use gratuitous profanity in a professional setting. In New York, not only do the men do it, but the women do it. You’re just looking saying, ‘My gosh, this is worse than locker-room talk.’ This would be considered totally inappropriate to say these things in front of a women, and for a women to say them in a professional setting… as we would say in the South, that’s just trashy.”

    Zero mention of Fox News.

Why, Rev, you are objecting to an inaccurate headline? Nicely done.

That said, it is likely that Fox News women were a part of the women that were in business meeting that Mike Huckabee attended, since he worked at Fox News. However, it is correct to say that Huckabee did not out-and-out name "Fox News".

That's Huckabee for you .... open mouth, insert foot.

Yes, it is trashy to use foul language as common speech.

But it's trashy when everybody does it .... not just women.

He didn't say it was just women neither did he say anything about Fox News. People are just wanting to read into what they want too.

But he did say "even the women" as if somehow it was different (worse?).

Women are not as known for such language as men are. The phrase was a reference to his shock that he experienced the women doing it as much as the men. So yea, it is different in the sense that history has been women were not as inclined to such language.

Legally, it is different. Many states still have laws on the books where it is illegal to cuss in front of women and children.

My problem with the females on Fox is their extremely short skirts.
