The operation called “manufactured consensus”
It begins with some “authoritative” voice proclaiming an idea is a fact. Well, someone has to start the ball rolling.
Very quickly, according to plan, others pick up the ball and echo the original idea. This includes both “respected” individuals and groups. Media join in.
What follows is a scramble to gain public acceptance. All sorts of approaches are used in this stage of the process:
the claim that a consensus has already been reached (which is a lie);
attacks on dissidents and critics;
warnings that refusal to accept the central idea will have dire consequences “for all of us”;
cooked and slanted scientific studies;
general reminders that the idea being promoted represents the greatest good for the greatest number;
expressions of shock that there are “still people who refuse to accept the obvious”;

Looks like we're at the stage where the critics get attacked and we're told this is all for the greatest good for the greatest number right?
I find it personally insulting that you have such a low opinion of our service men and women. They aren't mindless stormtroopers but feel free to live in perpetual fear. It is extremely irritating to act like the military is this force that would all a sudden turn on its own country. Feel free to go tell SOCOM members your opinion and tell me how it turns out.
Yep, I was right. We're at the stage now where the critics get attacked and we're told this is all for the greatest good for the greatest number.
I find it amusing how easily you're turned into a tool for the global elite (who BTW have no loyalty to this country) by a few "authority" figures. :laugh:
You are easily amused as are most clowns that are a tool of shock radio hosts that could use a good shave with Occam's Razor.
The mainstream media unleashed a deluge of hit pieces targeting Alex Jones and Infowars over the upcoming Jade Helm military exercise after the issue finally began to draw serious attention. The volley of negative press coverage arrived in response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s perfectly rational announcement that Texas State Guard would monitor the drill to allay the concerns of residents and ensure that constitutional rights were not violated. http://www.prisonplanet.com/mainstream-media-rushes-to-demonize-infowars-over-jade-helm.html
...the operation in Bastrop County will take place almost entirely on private land leased to the Army by the owner.

All right, all you preppers, uber-libertarians, and property rights advocates, if you object to this exercise, what is your rationale? Can't property owners do whatever they want with their private property?
I just have a concern with seeing military everywhere I go. David Knight
Evidently the process of manufacturing consensus on Jade Helm 15 is more advanced than I first thought.
You're already up to the point now where you're relegating dissent to the margins of “wild conspiracy theory”, and the conjoining of dissent with negative images and feelings.
I guess the media "full court press" must be the reason for the urgency in your tone. That's odd, for some reason the term "putty in their hands" keep's popping into my head.
You seem to be a well trained tool. Kudos for that. :smilewinkgrin:
So I guess that's a no on you ponying up on the bargain. I thought so.
So it is with ideas. Most people prefer that “harmony and unity.” They seek it.
Somewhere in their minds, there is a learned program that asks for consensus, a program that prefers consent to difference.
Dissonance (disagreement) registers as a negative reality.
This isn't personal with me because I understand what our roles are in this play we call realty.
My role is to wake people up and your's is to marginalize and brand me (or any dissenter) with what ever label the authority figures and corporate talking heads are using at any given time on any given issue along the path to the "harmony and unity" you seek.
I must say from your stellar performance so far it does look like they cast the right person for that role. :smilewinkgrin:
Here's what going to happen. The unit is going to do the training exercise and then go home.
Then what are you going to say? Nothing. You'll just move onto the next nugget Alex Jones dangles in front of you.
Conspiracy theorist are the best.
I live in Texas. These training exercises have been going on annually for about 15 years. And EVERY year the Texas Guard has monitored the exercise. It's not some "conspiracy theory." It is the Guard's job, according to their charter, to do so. They act as liaison between the federal troops and the state, county, and local governments to make sure everything goes smoothly.

This exercise is being closely watched in Midland , Tx. Just as it should be.. Wal-mart's part in this exercise is also being closely watched. Closing a highly profitable store to allow the forces involved in the exercise to use, seems questionable at the very least, and deserves to be watched. Makes one wonder, at least, what is really going on.
