I've been watching the board to see if anyone would post this story, three days. Here it is…..you bunch of slackers.

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/29/politics/dennis-hastert-indictment-questions/

Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert was paying a former student to keep quiet about allegations of sexual abuse from the time when Hastert was a teacher and wrestling coach in Illinois, two sources with knowledge of the federal government investigation told CNN on Friday afternoon.

Hastert was a teacher and wrestling coach in Yorkville, Illinois between 1965 and 1981 before entering politics. Federal prosecutors indicted Hastert on Thursday for lying to the FBI about $3.5 million he agreed to pay to an undisclosed person to "cover up past misconduct."

A federal law enforcement official confirmed to CNN early Friday evening that the former student was a male and a minor when the alleged abuse took place. Federal law enforcement officials also said that investigators decided not to pursue a possible extortion case in the matter.

The high school where Hastert worked released a statement earlier Friday denying any knowledge of past misdeeds……

He shepherded the Patriot Act through the HoR, and provisions from it were used to secure this indictment. The irony is delicious.

Then we could discuss his impeachment of Clinton for covering up an illicit affair, while he was himself covering up an illicit affair.

Except that Clinton was not impeached for covering up an illicit affair.

    ????

"... impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice,....

....In his Paula Jones deposition, he swore, "I have never had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. I've never had an affair with her...."

    Impeachment of Bill Clinton

He took the place of a guy who didn't want to face the heat for his affair, and prosecuted another for lying under oath about an affair, while he himself was covering up an affair.

It's like a soap opera. Only worse.

$3.5 million in hush money. Must have been some nasty business.

What is it with conservative Republicans supposedly for family values and then finding out they're gay?

I don't have a problem with gay. I have a problem with pedophiles who shell out money to silence their victims.

More proof why I'm done with either of the major parties in Washington. They're chock full of fools, liars, villains, and the corrupt. We need a new revolution.

Just wondering where he got the $3.5 million to pay his mistress......

Almost reminds me of the downfall of the highly-decorated General David Petraeus.

Then there was another David in 2 Samuel who got ..... well, y'all know 'bout that.

Sad state of affairs....the problem is, this is merely the tip of the ice berg when it comes to the closet life's of our political leaders.

What will you and the liberal do when Clinton is exposed for his island trips to "gaga" land with under age girls and boys?

Just can't help yourself can you?

Always have to try to change the focus to what some democrat has done/is doing instead of facing reality.

Both parties are corrupt beyond repair.

Aren't you glad that your eternal destiny isn't based on what is done on Capitol Hill?

Your eternal destiny depends solely on what Jesus Christ did for you on Calvary's Hill!

I'm not worried about my eternal destiny. I'm worried about my children and grandchildren's destiny during their lifetime. Did Christ remove our responsibility to look out for future generations?

Yeah yeah I know it's all inevitable and we're helpless to change anything because the preachers tell us Jesus wants us all to be submissive and obey the authorities whether or not that authority is legitimate.

Oh, and lefties are bad, bad bad!

I'm fairly certain that you really mean "concern(ed)" instead of "worry(-ied)."

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." --- Philippians 4:6-7

Okay that means I no longer have to water my garden or mow the lawn or fix the leaky roof or keep my truck running or make sure my mother takes her medicine or . . .

Wow! I feel so much more peaceful now. Thanks!

Where do you suppose he got $3.5 million to quiet this ? He was a gym teacher, then a politician.

And bringing up Clinton to me is hilarious. You'll look pretty hard for any support I ever gave him.
