See folks what happens is extremists liberals believe that if they can take an otherwise innocent incident, attach a highly energized word to it (Islamaphobia), repeat it over and over again regardless of any evidence otherwise they can create a new victim and perception of reality in order to gain political sympathy and thereby advance their cause. They must do this because the truth of their agenda does not sell and is repulsive to most people.

Are you saying the police are lying - that boy wasn't passive-aggressive? I think the police, according to their testimony acting properly.

Look, I have taught about a dozen Muslim children from ages 11 to 16 in two different schools. Muslim children who are DEEPLY entrenched in Islam.

And I love everyone of them and pray for them often. The ones that I have taught are all hard working, appreciative, pleasant to be around, friendly to me, highly intellectual, and highly moral students I have taught. None of that saves their immortal soul, but it makes them a joy to teach.

Trust me on this. If one of them were to have brought something to school that was suspicious and I were to have asked them what the object was, why it was brought to school, and what it's purpose was - they would have immediately spilled the beans. No hem-hawing around. No passive-aggressive behavior.

There is no Islamophobia here. There are precautions taken because a student is acting a manner that is suspicious and is not cooperating with authorities.

Yes, there are stereotypes of all kinds of people that do NOT blanketly fit all people in that group.

But stereotypes do fit the occasional person in that group. That's where the stereotypes come from.

The police did nothing wrong here.

It works the same for the neocons and their followers.

See folks what happens is neocons believe that if they can seize on a highly energized word (Islamofascist, communist, terrorist) and repeat it over and over and demonize the leader(s) and/or government of another country (Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Russia, Ukraine, etc., etc . . .) and any who question their "cause" and repeat it over and over regardless of any evidence to the contrary they can create fear, mistrust and hatred and a perception of reality in order to gain public consent and unquestioning compliance to their "cause" and thereby advance their agenda. They do this because the truth of their agenda would not sell because it goes against our Christian faith our constitutional and founding principles and would be repulsive to most Americans.

Their "product" is death and destruction their agenda is to use US political and military power to achieve global hegemony and their corporate sponsored marketing plan is the politics of fear, mistrust and hate.

Extremist liberals and war mongering neocons are two rotten fruits fallen from the same twisted family tree.

I would expect 98.9% of all 14 year old boys to act passive aggressive. In a situation like this they are scared and simply act that way.

Too bad Christian or so called Christian kids are not deeply entrenched in Christ.

Beg to differ. There is loads of Islamaophobia here. We have many folk here who are controlled by their fears and it shows in their totally one-sided biased posting condemning all who do not agree with them in all ways.

    That is correct.

As does mine of those who are controlled by their phobias here on the BB.

There were excessive. They could have checked the clock at the school. There was no need to arrest the boy.

How will this encourage him to love his new country. It would appear to him and his family similar tactics from their old country.

"We attempted to question the juvenile about what it was and he would simply only say it was a clock."

Well...yeah. He called a clock and clock and the police weren't satisfied. I mean I wouldn't know exactly where to take it from there either if I was the kid. Also, the kid is on record that the questions weren't exactly that benign either.

When he entered, one officer leaned back in his chair and said, “That’s who I thought it was.”

They were like, ‘So you tried to make a bomb?’ I told them no, I was trying to make a clock.”

But his questioner responded, “It looks like a movie bomb to me.”

What's hilarious is that this is supposed to be "the rest of the story" but the whole article with both sides of the story was already captured by the Washington Post.

In usual Breitbart fashion, you can see how they cherry picked the parts of the story that would paint Ahmed in a negative light. This is a great example of hack journalism. Deliberately omitting source material is pathetic.

The police shouldn't have even been called. All this would have taken was a little bit more investigation on the part of the teachers and school administrators.

But because of people's prejudices and biases reinforced by a segment of the population who wants everyone afraid of every Muslim who moves so that they can justify wars and taking away liberties, this child has now been scarred for life.

If being a radical Muslim wasn't on his radar before, the despicable treatment he received may just have pushed him in that direction.

Precisely. It's downright embarrassing that so-called JOURNALISTS would attempt to use fear as a justification for treating a child like this. And that they would present a half-truth story to make it look like the school was justified in doing what it did all in the name of "freedom" and "defense".

Had nothing been done, and this turned out to be a bomb, killing innocent children at the school, the pundits and lawyers would be feasting on this.

It is better to be safe than sorry.

Again, "z" you are beating a dead horse with a broken, tired out stick.

    :thumbsup::applause::applause:

This is the type of propaganda that has to be disseminated in order to keep a segment of the population riled up and okay with taking the country into new wars.

It's not coincidental that these mass media outlets that are controlled by a lot of the same people keep trying to make us afraid of everything Muslim. Scared people don't mind you taking things from them if you'll keep them "safe".

Again, you're mouthing off and don't know what you're talking about. The school is full of teachers and administrators who could have handled this without calling in the police.

So keep your Islamic prejudices to yourself and stop trying to use them to justify scaring a child for building a clock.

Little white and black kids build exploding volcanoes every year and bring them to school. Anybody calling the police on them? If anybody wanted to blow something up, that would be the perfect opportunity.

But of course not because AGAIN, this is about the prejudices of scared folks who think they can garner support for their prejudices by playing on other people's fears.

    Your wickedness is rejected.

All they had to do was look at the clock. But it's obvious that there are some ingrained prejudices in the young man's school. His parents should sue the socks off the school system and the folks involved because nothing seems to sink in with folks who like to push their prejudices until you hit their pocketbooks.

And now for the rest of the story . . . for real.

Irving Police Chief Admits Cops Knew Ahmed Mohamed Didn’t Have a Bomb But They Arrested Him Anyway

But he also made some other startling admissions afterwards. As he made the circuit of news interviews, he refused to say on Thursday his department was wrong for arresting the innocent freshman on Monday. But he also admits that when the arrest was made, his officers knew that Ahmed had neither made a bomb, nor presented his clock to people as a fake bomb. In spite of the fact that no law had been broken, they arrested him anyway.

    Continue . . . http://countercurrentnews.com/2015/09/irving-police-chief-admits/

Absolutely incredible. Yet there are still folks trying to justify this buffoonery.Even more reason for his parents to sue the school system and the police department if they have to.

    Just shameful.

Had this been a bomb everyone would have died anyway because the procedures for a bomb or even a bomb threat is to evacuate the facility and secure the building which was obviously not done. Which means they obviously never truly believed there was any serious threat. The whole scenario should have began and ended with police confirming it wasn't a bomb and then going about their day which should have taken all of five minutes if you've actually see this thing.

As I said in the thread concerning this, teachers and principals (at least in all the schools that I am aware of) are trained to contact the police if there is a suspicious object or person on campus that cannot be identified as to it's purpose or why it is there.

Yes, we do investigate as best we can.

And the police chief confirmed this, but they arrested the child anyhow.

That is a fair and reasonable statement. I just have a problem with the arrest since there was never any real doubt that it was a clock and the boy never at any time misrepresented what it was he was carrying.

I've never been to the Middle East, but is it true that when you go through customs they'll grab your camera and point it upward and snap it to see if it's a gun, and they'll violently fumble through your suitcase throwing some items on the floor for you to pick up? Yeah, muzzlims have a reason to condemn the paranoia of this country!
