(note: Are you are refering about homosexual...so can refuse due to gay marriage/Muslim events, but not for bigots towards race!
marriage - you see I support a happy marriage!)
Who is to say that refusing baking a cake for a homosexaul is acceptable based on the Bible?
Who is to say being a bigot towards race Bible is not?
Both of these are based on interpretation of the Bible. Not to mention the "holy" books of other religions.
Suppose a Jewish man wanted to marry a Protestant? A Jewish baker may refuse to bake that cake as he would see that in violation of Jewish Law.
Lets look at another example;
The Amish do NOT want those Red/yellow reflectors on their buggies. (reason being is that there religious beliefs state that bright colors brings vain attention to them)
Should the Amish be required to have those reflectors on the buggies?
Our city has an ordinance that you MUST have running water and electricity in your home to make it habitable. So what happens if an Amish family were to move in.
A few years ago - near Syracuse Mennonite children were walking to school. Government officials insisted that they ride the school bus. The Mennonites did NOT want the kids riding the same bus as non-Mennonites because they did not want their children to be improperly influencing their children.
So the public school started to make a separate trip to take the kids to the Mennonite school.
