Yes, they are the party of hypocrites.

Saw an op-ed by a NY Times writer (the same guy that did a scathing obit of Hugh Hefner), and he said that liberals would have been well served by adopting some conservative morals. One: Liberals laughed when it came out that Mike Pence does not take meeting alone or have dinner alone with a woman other than his wife. Liberals would do well to adopt that policy. Two: Consent is not enough for a policy, he argued, saying cheating on your wife makes you more likely to harrass your subordinates.

Third: You can’t ignore moral character when you make decisions about whom to vote for or work with or support. This was something conservatives used to argue in the Clinton years; under Trump, many have conveniently forgotten it. But it remains true. Yes, sometimes you have to work with a bad person or vote for a bad person or hold a fundraiser with a bad person for the greater good. But not nearly as often as you think.

He is just another Democrat who enjoys abusing women. He joins the likes of Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd, purveyors of the famous "Senate Sandwich" game; along with Billy Bob Clinton, Gary Condit, and a host of other progressive abusers. How Democrat women could continue supporting these sexual miscreants is beyond my comprehension.

I found his comment unnecessary and distasteful but trying to tie him to someone who commits sexual assault is crossing a line.

 

You assume you know more than you do. With some men, sexual assault is about pure lust. With some, pure power. With the vast majority, some of both.I worked quite a few rapes in my day. 99% of the women raped looked good. You give the average pervert a chance to rape a beauty queen or Honey BooBoo's mama, who will they choose? The only women Obama could beat in a beauty contest would be whoopi Goldberg and Aunt Esther. Her Mama would lose to Esther.

 

The human race is a fallen race. That God has decided to extend grace and mercy to us shows us His amazing love. We should be sickened by sin, all sin, particularly our own. Political leanings should have nothing to do with it. More and more I am moving toward the opinion of David Lipscomb in his treatise "On Civil Government" that Christians should avoid the corruption of politics altogether. Just haven't made a final decision yet to cut the cord with something I have been following since 1964. Old habits die hard.
