That's the whole idea behind "free" medical care by the government.

How "medically qualified" was the judge?

    No they don't
    No he wasn't.
I understand that the facts are unpalatable for you, since they don't fulfil your fantasy of life in the Socialist Republic of Anglistan, but you actually don't have a clue; and, sadly, you don't want to learn.

But we are not discussing JW’s and African Pentecostal people, the crux of the discussion is removing parental authority... ie overreach in the lives of families. Can a court override God given parental guidance to their children? Tread very carefully on that one Matt because it could undermine all our Judio Christian parenting beliefs. For example, could my child report me the parent for hitting him on the arse when I caught him doing something harmful.... so the courts then have the legal right to remove my child over a question of abusing my child and then who is lodging that complaint... is it valid, yada yada. I don’t know all the answers. I do know by experience that normally a loving parent will plum the deepest depths of hell to provide good for their children & it’s the responsibility of the courts to get out of the way

Sorry, Carpro, but we have this thing called EVIDENCE. You might want to acquaint yourself with the concept.

The Court experts - for all sides - were medically qualified. All were unanimous in their conclusion. The judge was guided by their finds of fact.

Really, how difficult is this to follow?

Come on Steve, shouldn’t the final decision have been in the hands of the parents ( provided they were not deemed incapable).

    I think it's hillarious.

The Brits spend so much time and money policing and prosecuting PC crimes, that the real crime rate is in the tank.

If it wasn't self inflicted, it would be pitiful instead of funny.

Only if you agree that JWs and African Penties have the same rights over their children...

Sorry, missed the memo that said that threats to kill and rape medical staff weren't 'real crimes'.

Your post makes me sick. It really makes me want to vomit.

    :Roflmao

Well, you were making a big deal out of the parents medical qualifications. But you really don't want to talk about about the judges medical qualifications.

    Got it.:Roflmao

I've explained already to you how it works: the Court's medical expert witnesses guide the judge. They are medically qualified.

It you can't read/ can't be bothered to read what I've put in plain English then, sorry, but I can't help you

carpro, we have enough issues in our own country to dwell on... nevertheless, I most heartily pray for this child and his family that God will comfort them. The loss of any child puts a ton of sorrow on the soul... may Gods mercy and love comfort them.

What's difficult to follow is why the NHS, or the hospital at the behest of the NHS, would go to court for the right to kill a sick child in the first place. It's becoming a habit.

Alfie survived 5 days off the ventilator, but he couldn't survive not being fed. Terrible way to die.

So the judge looked at all the evidence and decided it was the state's right to kill a sick little boy by starving him to death... if he survived off the ventilator.

Instead of letting his loving parents love and care for him until he died naturally. Right . I get it.

Apparently it was more important to demonstrate that state has more power than the parents.

    Got that, too.
