    I came across this:
"This second temple lasted until AD 70, when it was razed to the ground by Roman soldiers under Titus. Today, many orthodox Jews long to re-establish the temple and its ancient systems, including the sacrifices. Some even hope that the story of Cyrus will be repeated by a modern ruler.

These Jews took great encouragement when Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election in the United States because they remembered his promise to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. They also note that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has expressed a desire for the temple to be restored. “We are poised to rebuild the Temple,” said Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for a group called the Nascent Sanhedrin"..The third temple prophecy

Some Evangelicals think helping the Jews rebuild the temple will help usher in the eschaton.

Are you directing that at me, or those Evangelicals who actually believe rebuilding the temple will help usher in the eschaton are the ones that do not know what they are talking about? I simply posted that information to address the OP. Feel free to formulate an argument and or offer a refutation to the assertions proposed by the several prominent Evangelicals referenced in my last link.

For the record, I am not an Evangelical and I do not believe this. I think such a belief is actually antithetical to the Christian faith.

It is hard to believe that the evangelicals think what you think that they think. Impressive.

That story of building the temple is like the story that was invented about the sacrifice of a red heifer. None of this will happen because, as JESUS said: The Man known as the Beast will be chained and with him the false prophet that forges miracles before him
(a Beast like a LAMB, a false LAMB, in fact a false messiah, an ESOTERIC and KABBALISTIC and SPIRITIST messiah, actually AN IMPOSTER - Revelation 13:v.11 to 14) deceiving them that will receive the mark of the Beast, these both will be cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. This will fulfil in this time of the end LITERALLY. Revelation 19:v.19-20

The prophecies reveal all things which will fulfil henceforward, day after day. By the way, the testimony of JESUS is the Spirit of prophecy.

They aren’t my thoughts, but rather the thoughts of prominent Evangelicals.

Do you think the words of the Evangelicals in the articles I linked are not accurate quotations from them? The articles’ authors fabricated their statements?

What the authors fabricated are only and only cunningly devised fables, they are good for nothing.

Authors and historytelers have focused in the restoration of the modern State of Israel, and through their imaginations and false predictions they sold unto their readers the false idea of the rebuild of the temple, besides foolish conceptions and and false prophecies about Jerusalem, whose city is SPIRITUALLY called Sodom and Egypt.
By the way, Jerusalem is full or IS infested of idolatries and sorcery as always was, and as a whore is called Aolibah by the LORD. Jeremiah 23:v.4

The commentator involved Trump in the subject, ok, actually he is the most powerful man of the earth in the current time, but he knows not who Trump is.
Trump is the horserider described in Revelation 6:v.3-4.

Now, when the Beast from the earth rise up out in Jerusalem not so far from these days, the Beast like a lamb, but speak as a Dragon, in fact a FALSE lamb, a false messiah, an esoteric and kabbalistic and spiritist messiah of the Jews, this MAN will be more powerful than the Trump. Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Every things, yeah, every things that are being doing and will be done by the powerful MEN of the nations, like Trump, for example, they will pave the way for the manifestation of the false messiah in Jerusalem, Who will oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God will sit in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Then will be established the Abomination of Desolation for 1.290 days. By the way, he was born in Jerusalem decades ago, he lives in Jerusalem, his hometown.

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

The mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets will let, until he be taken out of the way, then shall the Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

He that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from above is above all. John 3:v.31
