Who would you rather see win the Republican presidential nomination in 2024? Trump or DeSantis (and why)?

Trump of course. He was robbed in 2020 and he has proven to be an excellent President despite all the wild witch hunts that were arrayed against him. He's as solid as a rock. I look at him as a combination of John Wayne, Elvis Presley and Bobby Fisher, and maybe with a dash of a clean Norm MacDonald.

When he was robbed in 2020 his voters were disenfranchised. It's only fair that he gets in for another term.

DeSantis has been great for Florida. Maybe he will be presidential material in 2028. I was surprised and disappointed in him with the statements he has made recently.

Hmmm, still no answer. Denial yes but an answer to a simple question, no. Unless that answer is (and seems to be denial).

In Obama's last election he got 69 million votes and won 873 counties

Biden supposedly had 81 million votes and won 477 counties.

Trump supposedly got 74 million votes. He won 2,497 counties.

Biden won a record low of 17% of counties. He lost 18 of 19 bellwether counties. He lost Ohio, Florida and Iowa.
But he supposedly won the popular vote record. It doesn't add up.

Disqualifying. Anyone who won’t boldly admit the hundred different ways 2020 was rigged, can’t be trusted.

#BREAKING: DeSantis asked if Trump lost the election, if fraud is responsible for the 2020 result "I look at the last however many election cycles [...] In 2020, Biden becomes president and has done a huge amount of damage [...] I didn't see a red wave [in 2022]..."

I’d rather see Pence get the nomination. He is a solid conservative, has great experience, is even tempered and well reasoned.

He would be a no drama POTUS and take us in the direction we need.

    peace to you

The real figures add up perfectly.

It should be obvious, but the number of counties "won" is simply trivia -- it has nothing to do with winning elections. Even congressional seats are not determined by counties, but by congressional districts.

I suspect that no one who wants to believe that Trump was cheated cares about a fact check, but this particular claim has been refuted many, many times. Here's just one example.

Truth is non-partisan and apolitical. Don't deceive yourselves.

DeSantis - He's Trump with a little more decorum. I think he'd sway independents (like me) more towards him.

Either way I would happily vote for Trump a 3rd time. I've often compared Trump to chemotherapy. DeSantis is a more pleasant, but still effective chemotherapy.

Either way, the U.S has stage 4 cancer and will not survive unless we get some form of Chemotherapy ASAP.
