Let's listen to what a young man who has lived in the gay community for years before he came to Christ says:

"Causing no harm to anyone else" - except the church, a believer's soul and our testimony before God and the world.

While the context of the article you posted is sexual sin, the same principle applies to sin in general. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says that we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. That is how we are to deal with temptation. In 1 Corinthians 6:18, Paul tells us to "flee immorality". He does not say mull it over or get close to the edge without giving in to it. He tells us to literally kick in the flight or fight response and get out of Dodge. Since most sin first germinates in the mind, that is where it must be defeated. The answer is not to learn how to live peacefully with sin. Sin is the enemy. It seeks to destroy us at every opportunity. Only through Christ are we able to avoid sin, including sexual immorality.

Compared to the harm caused by the Church's track record of bigotry and homophobia? How many suicides have gay people occasioned?

Discussion document only and in no way changes Catholic doctrine. Hence the joke "Bears in wood mourn death of fellow-cliché as theologians doubt whether Pope is Catholic."

So, let me get this right. The LORD was more concerned about poor hospitality than the rank sexual perversion that had taken over the city? The LORD said what He did (below) about hospitality?

Genesis 18:-20-21 20 And the LORD said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave. 21 I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

When the two angelic visitors said in Genesis 19:13, "for we are about to destroy this place, because their outcry has become so great before the LORD that the LORD has sent us to destroy it" are we supposed to believe that their sin of poor hospitality had become a great outcry before the LORD?

Folks, this is how it is done. Not every enemy of God's word and His people are going to come with sword in hand, making their intentions clearly known. Some try the soft-shoe approach, echoing the words of the serpent in Genesis 3:1, "Indeed, has God said?" The latter enemy seeks to sow doubt. There is more danger in doubting God's word than there is in facing the sword. Beware!

Go understand what verse 46 means in that chapter and the parallel Ezekiel was drawing. None of that takes away from the reason for Sodom's destruction in Genesis 19.

You have no idea what the Church is to be worried about, as you have habitually (in this thread) displayed a deaf ear to the truth. Some members of this board will willingly follow you down one of your rabbit trails. I will not.

Nice try on DACA. Start a thread in the political forum if you want to discuss that topic.

P.S. A thread already exists: President to end DACA

I've said all I want to say on DACA and I stand by what I've said above. If we're not prepared to be an authentic prophetic voice as Christians, then we're not following our Lord and Saviour.
