Sorry, pre-duplicate??
-
Is there one of the KJVs more inerrant than the others?
Is there one of the TRs more inerrant than the others?
Ed in the first responce post (But not in the Opening Post):
//Please choose the highest number with which you fully agree.//
So you should have chosen:
5 inerrant in any English translation based on the TR 0 0%
But nobody has chosen that post.
Of course, perchance you didn't agree with my recommendation? -
Ed Edwards: // I understand your question.
I don't have an answer. //
self-contradictory. When the Muslims in Teran, Iran captured
the diplomats, it was in direct violation of the Qu'ran.
So yes, I'm interested also in the viewpoint of others
on the matter of inerrancy. -
The Bible's assertions are fully true when judged in accordance with the purpose for which they were written. -

This is the lowest I've ever seen for the most popular answer:
3 The Bible is inerrant in the original autographs 40 50.00% -
I'm bumping this poll to the top.
There are some new members who perchance haven't
voted in this poll yet.
Thank you. -

I wonder if I should stop this poll and go
get some non-Baptist votes over in a
Other Christian Denominations forum? -

(note to new readers/voters.
You can't vote on this but once. That means
all the old members can't vote but all the
new members can vote. When we get to 100
voteers, I'll start the 7th poll and everybody will
get to vote over again. Again, thank you for
your vote, it is appreciated).

I've been banned from yet another KJVO bb (bulletin board).
They had to work hard to do it :)
I deleted my account, then they banned me.
Earlier they changed the rules. It wasn't a KJVO site when
i joined it.
I was real mean :) I took a phrase about the
NIV and said it with KJVs instead of NIV. It is
apparently alright to damn the NIV, but not the KJVs.
This has 'Double Standard' written all over it.
I also quoted the results of my poll.
Maybe I really am a condemned Liberal?
Some days it is hard being a Fundie :( -

What does Bible Inerrancy mean to you?
-1 the Bible has errors (i.e. is NOT inerrant) ------------------ 3 3.45%
0 the Bible has minor errors but is still useful ---------------- 1 1.15%
1 The Bible is inerrant on all doctrinal issues ----------------- 4 4.60%
2 inerrant on all issues: doctrinal, historic, and scientific -- 16 18.39%
3 The Bible is inerrant in the original autographs ----------- 43 49.43%
4 The Bible is inerrant only in the KJV1611 AV ------------- 9 10.34%
5 inerrant in any English translation based on the TR ------- 1 1.15%
6 The Bible is inerrant in all faithful English translations ---- 9 10.34%
7 the Bible is inerrant as applied by _______ ---------------- 1 1.15%
Again, the lesser number are the more Liberal positions
and the higher number are the less Liberal positions.
Notice the dominate answer is right in the middle of the spectrum.
Items with a value less than one really aren't 'inerrancy' positions
but are 'errancy' positions.
As usual, the right answer:
"6 The Bible is inerrant in all faithful English translations"
ties for 3rd or 4th most popular answer.
I believe that The Bible is inerrant in all valid
English translations. The Holy Bible is the Devinely
Preserved & Inerrant Written Word of God.
As before, when this vote gets to 100 votes, I'll start poll #7,
if the PTB (powers that be) will let me. Then we can all vote
our favorite votes again. Until then, we have to wait on the
new folks to vote ...
