From the OP: “...the ultimate killing machine and weapon of choice among mass shooters.”

Anyone else think it ironic that an OP like that should be made by a poster with an avatar like that?

If you’re unfamiliar with the symbol or motto, Google is your friend.

Mass shooters - murderers, criminals, and low life's. My AR-15 has not fired at one human being - ever! Every gun is dangerous and a possible "killing machine".

A 12 gauge shot-gun loaded with 00 buck can also be one mean "killing machine"! Or my Remington 700 with a scope on it, why you could reach out and touch someone from a long distance away and they won't even know what hit them.

I see you are not much for hyperbole, right Bucko?

Yeah, the picture says "Looking for common ground". Yeah right, which for the Democrats and liberals eventually means "no guns for you"!

I recommend a search re the poster’s avatar. Suggests a few questions may be in order...

I looked it up when he first came to the board. Quite the contradiction.

None of my Ar 15s or AKSes have killed anyone either. Guess they missed the memo. I agree, an AR is not ideal.

No other gun can injure 27 and kill 9 in under 30 seconds

I expected many here to regurgitate Trump's mindless points which are in turn recycled from Fox an Friends about video games and Hollywood as if this is uniquely American just like American football.

That's irrelevant to the point; why do mass murderers prefer them? Their killing power (speed and damage).

The problem is the nut behind the trigger.
Tyrannical government's have killed millions. The 2a is to protect us from government. The few killings here and there are miniscule in comparison to what a tyrannical govt does to an unarmed population.

When last in the last 100 years has anyone used their gun against their government?

My point proven. The government can not oppress a well armed citizenry.

Your avatar and username means "hitman" so why are you here arguing for getting rid of guns?

Because that matters more than my or your name. Is that impossible to figure out on your own?

what it does is call into question your position and why you are doing it. Sorry hitman it appears you are just trying to get a rise out of people.

2A is redundant in civilized nations. That's why America has failed to peddle it abroad. It had long been overtaken by democracy. It's a colonial relic. What's more, it has never worked. No amount of firepower in civilian hands have ever stopped the government from having its way.

Then why do all the leftists and liberals want to get rid of the guns so bad? Because such a thing would make their ability to control the people much, much easier. People like you hate our constitution and how it protects the individual rights of the people.

As we speak the Democrat Party has morphed into a left wing totalitarian entity and guns need to be removed from the people to achieve what they want. The rich and powerful will always be secure behind their gated homes and their armed security units.

Mao said power comes from the barrel of a gun and today's Communists (Democrats) here in America know that saying very well and take it to heart.
