I think the owner should consier giving in to the liberal, tolerance first, politically correct, diversity people and simply rename the team to the:

    Washington "Warrirors!"

Best fix I can think of is to just tell everyone flat out that it's not going to change.

They can take their politically correct act to some other venue. Harry Reid can find something else to cry about.

The Oneida Nation isn't anywhere near Washington.
I don't mind being called a redskin, my skin is a reddish brown.
The team Seal is a tribute to great Native Warriors of the past.

Since when did Indians ever sue anyone over anything?

Anyway, if there are no other Natives on this Board, this Chickasaw likes the name "Redskins", and the Iroquois have always caused trouble, so the Oneida's lawsuit is par for the course.
    There's my $.02.

I thought that everyone had agreed that the name Washington was demeaning.

The misspelling itself will be compelling.

Thanks for catching that PIJ...I'll bet you must keep busy letting your local newspaper know about their errors. Glad you have a worthwhile hobby.

    HOWEVER .....
