Here is something that I have pondered for a while. Let’s say that the following things happened in this order.
In 1930 a Seventh Day Adventist wrote a book called Our Authorized Bible Vindicated . This book contained the first known reference to King James Version onlyism. Prior to this book written by a cultist, using only the KJV was a matter of preference.
Let’s say that J.J.Ray in his book God Wrote Only One Bible that Ray had given Wilkinson credit instead of copying sections of his book. Let’s say that Ray liked the idea and decided to give credit where credit was due.
Now let’s say that David Ottis Fuller who wrote Which Bible? Had told the reader that he was referring to Benjamin Wilkinson when he wrote about the man at a small and obscure Eastern college. Let’s say that Fuller defended this Seventh Day Adventist ideas and admitted that his book relied heavily upon Our Authorized Bible Vendicated.
How would Baptist had reacted if these two men admitted that a cultist gave them their KJVOism ideas? Do you honestly think that KJVOist would be like it is today?
Too bad that Ray and Fuller could not be truthful to the readers of their so called works. These men hide things in darkness from the eyes of faithful followers of the Word of God. God said that things done in darkness would come to the light. Here we see that the light has shined brightly upon the KJVO Camp’s forefathers.
What do you think?

KJVOese for, "I am clueless!" -
A word of friendly advice, Brothersmiller: YOU'RE WASTING YOUR AND OUR TIME BY PASTING ARTICLES FROM THE LIKES OF MELTON OR TEXE MARRS! Everyone here who's interested has read'em already! Those two you posted have been blown outta the water for years now. In fact, the REFUTING of Marrs' article is on audio tape on Ankerberg's site; I suggest you read it or listen to it and then check its veracity.
Try coming up with something ORIGINAL to attempt to give any credence to the KJVO myth. All the bunk you've been posting from those KJVO authors grew rancid long ago. You're just beating dead horses, making them stink that much more. -
No self-respecting KJVOnly will admit to the SDA origin of their sect. Nor that David Otis Fuller, an iconic folk hero in the GARBC and to all the only sect was taking page after page of writing (word for word) from the SDA booklet.
[Most of us Dispensationalists have had to recognize you can't change history and that the modern origins of that hermeneutic are in the Plymouth Brethren and Bible Presbyterian realms.
Owning up to the truth only hurts if you suffer from pride. If you say, "It does not matter who believes it; it is right", then at least have the character to admit the facts and move on with life.] -
But,Church history proves different;and a multitude of quotes that go back much farther than the Alexandrian "sect" want's to admit.

Dr. Bob:No self-respecting KJVOnly will admit to the SDA origin of their sect.
Anti-Alexandrian:If it was true, then that would be different.
But,Church history proves different;and a multitude of quotes that go back much farther than the Alexandrian "sect" want's to admit.
BUT:
HOW OFTEN have we said we're referring to the MODERN KJVO myth?
If you can prove the modern myth started from another source besides Wilkinson's book, then please enlighten us!
Ludricrous!
A good one-word description of the KJVO myth. -
Anti-A,
Why did Fuller cover up Wilkinson? Why does Cloud make cover up Fuller?
The point is very simple. If Ray and Fuller had told the truth about Wilkinson then KJVOism would be mainly in the SDA Camp. No Baptist in their right spiritual mind would have followed a SDA. That is why Ray and Fuller went to great lengths to hide the fact that Wilkinson was a SDA.
Telling lies seems to be a trade mark for some main stream KJVOist like Fuller, Ray, Ruckman, and G.A.(god and) Riplinger.
Go ahead Anti-A and prove KJVOism before 1930.
Please enlighten me. Remember that I used to be a KJVOist.
I see not problem with only using a KJV. I see many problems with KJVOism. -
David J, there have been some occasional articles written in favor of using the KJV only ever since it first appeared.
However, for all practical purposes, we must now deal with the modern myth alone, as was started, accidently or not, by Ben Wilkinson. As BW died in 1968 he missed the full consequences of his error-filled book. If he wrote any thoughts on J.J.Ray's almost plagiarizing his book, I haven't seen'em. Dr. D.O.Fuller didn't write, or at least publishWhich Bible? till 1970.
The modern KJVO may twist n shout all he/she pleases, but he/she CANNOT escape the fact that almost every KJVO argument used over the last 40 years has come from the Wilkinson-Ray-Fuller line. -

Ever notice how when someone asks specific questions of the KJVOlator camp that they never show up? And that they never give an answer, but instead attack the asker?
Or am I the only one who has come to that conclusion?

Well, broT, it's like this, you see...ya can't trip up the truth, but you can make a person who has the truth trip up and look like a loony; so most stay away and some can't come.
-
I think ya lost me, Granny. Could you try that again in some different words?
-
When one speaks in an unknown tongue (diXie) then there must be an interpreter. She's talkin about the KJVO sect must be on a trip trying to deny this modern movement is SDA related!
Then, something about brains not working, nobody coming to dinner and watching looney-tunes. But I'm not sure of that part . .

Let's not forget about driving a red truck with a stars n bars logo.
And let's not forget who LOST THE WAR... -
Hey RC3
...Let's not go there. -

LOST??? What do you mean, LOST???
General Lee heard the Grant used to be a blacksmith, and was just handing him his sword so's he could sharpen, is all. Least, that's what Granny Clampett said... -
Allow me to reitterare myself:
