Paul: Even as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.

@Silverhair : Is there unrighteousness with God?

Paul: God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

Paul: So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will be hardeneth.

@Silverhair Why doth he still find fault? For who withstandeth his will?

Paul: Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why didst thou make me thus?

KY you still do not seem to trust scripture. You use the bible as if it were a book of one liners.

Is there unrighteousness with God? NO.
    As the bible says:
Rom_3:26 for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

God is sovereign whether you like it or not KY. You seem to think God is a Calvinist or PB. You want Him to fit into your theology but it does not work that way. Your theology has to align with who He is.

Yea, I love, love, love the genius behind it's brevity. The scriptures are there to give us a way to articulate, without a bunch of bloviation, what the Spirit is teaching us.

    @Silverhair:

“Why does He yet find fault”?

    “is there unrighteousness with God”?

By far and away the bulk of the baiting/trolling you do to entice others into your rabbit holes has its roots in either one of those complaints against God.

You might as well try to put God in the dock as well as Paul for all your rambling smears.

That would be true if you actually did learn something from those verses that you post. But you continue to ignore the truth and hold to your philosophical view.

It is sad that you call scripture "baiting/trolling" just shows how little respect you have for the word of God.

As I said God is not unrighteous and why would you thing I find fault with Him. Now if you want to know who and what I find fault with then just read some of my posts.

It is obvious that you do not even know the history of the theology that your hold. Educate yourself on the foundations of Calvinism.

What I have put in the dock is Augustine, Calvin and those that promote their view and they have failed to make their case.

No, as I have said, you have put Christ and Paul in the dock. And for that matter, John and Peter.

I know historical theology. And you are all wet.

Your comment is illogical. Look up the history yourself. It is not that hard. Just come to the information with an open mind.

We have these discussions regularly. I would say "What difference does it make?" I was brought up in a church where this subject was never raised. When I first heard the doctrines of grace taught my indignation was roused. But after reading the scriptures I realised they were correct. Man I'd dead in sins and dead men don't make choices. The gospel we preached in both cases was exactly the same.
When I had doubts it was explained as coming to a door marked "Free Salvation" but when you get inside you look back and on the other xide it said "SAVED BY GRACE."

Lol, you're the troll, with all your vain reasoning rooted in your complaints against God! What an obsession you have, along with a couple others on this board.

Primitive Baptists – also known as Hard Shell Baptists, Foot Washing Baptists or Old School Baptists – are conservative Baptists adhering to a degree of Calvinist beliefs who coalesced out of the controversy among Baptists in the early 19th century over the appropriateness of mission boards, tract societies, and temperance societies. Primitive Baptists are a subset of the Calvinistic Baptist tradition.

Ask @kyredneck as he says he is one he can inform you about what they believe.

The original split occurred between the Gillites and Fullerites, due largely to Andrew Fuller's teaching of 'duty faith', among other things.

What complaints have I expressed against God KY? But I will admit I do have complaints against those that abuse the scriptures and twist them to fit their theology.

You just do not like it when the error in your thinking is pointed out to you. You are the one that does not trust scripture. You throw out the pejorative comments but you're not so good at defending your position.
