It is an education Mexdeaf, for all of us, even those who don't want to admit it. We make them get it right or we come down on them hard. I think I have learn a lot since being on here about subjects I have never encountered. Even learned how to look up Greek and Hebrew and compare the words with English. Heard completely different veiws on subjects.

Ed, try out that formula you have and if it works then maybe the rest of us will try it. :)

There are some though that I don't believe learning is one of their attributes.

IF I felt it was affecting my health... I'd quit in a minute. No problem... I can quit... when I need to.

    Read again what I said:

// I've taken the 12 steps to curing my BB adictions: //

The formula works. Go try it out for any addiction
    that you might have.

Sorry, I don't have enough time :tonofbricks:

Seriously, I'm mentoring a 15½-year-old learning to drive.

Meanwhile, I don't have my problem with my wife, she
joined two months before I did :saint:

I woke up this morning, checked the BB and found this thread (I am NOT addicted just because I checked it before devotions), had my devotions, had breakfast, had devotions with my wife, brushed my teeth and then came upstairs to post before going to the church to work. And I find three more pages of posts. You people have some serious problems!!

Here is my version of the ten signs you are addicted to the Baptist Board:

    1. You went to the computer every commercial during the Super Bowl to see if anyone had responded to your post.
    2. You have never met your closest friends.
    3. You wrote the statement of faith for your church from things you had written on the BB.
    4. Your post count has exceeded 20 per day.
    5. You use only the KJV but recently bought a modern version and hate yourself for it.
    6. You now describe yourself as a Calvinian.
    7. You have several different “Smiley” sites in your favorites and use them often.
    8. You visited Sharper Iron and felt like a traitor.
    9. Your website for news is now the BB news forum.
    10. You keep saying, “I could quit the BB at any time I wanted to!”

You people really have a problem. I used to have the problem of sitting in my home office all hours reading the bb. I no longer have that problem. I now have a laptop, so I can move about the house.

If you have a problem with your name not being in the "last post", you might be a bb addict.

"Scarlett O. stands.....awkwardly looking around at those sitting in a circle. The foul smell of bad coffee permeates the room. That odor mixed with cigarette smoke almost makes her nauseaus. She bites her lower lip as some in the circle look a little frightening. Several of them hold weathered bibles, mumbling to themselves and flipping the pages without actually reading. Another, walking outside the circle, keeps her arms tightly closed about her - her eyes darting from one member to the next. "A lurker...", Scarlett O. thinks to herself.

Some of them are twitching their fingers. Almost as if they are typing in the air. They nod rapidly every now and then as if talking to someone, but their eyes are too glazed to focus. A couple of them attempt to smile at Scarlett O., but they are not friendly smiles. More like the weathered smiles of those who are too exhausted and battleworn to do anything more. She slowly begins to realize that the other people sitting there are not much unlike she, herself.

She stops wringing her hands, nervously clears her throat, and says in a voice of full resignation and ironically, relief, "Hi. My name is Scarlett O. and I'm a Baptist Board addict...."

    I laughed out loud, Scarlett.

Is it a sign of addiction if we now think the best humor is on the BB? Late night shows? Reader's Digest? Ho, hum.
